  • In this episode I reach the IPF 74kg WR total w/ a squat triple. We are 2 weeks out from PA Bench Nationals and 8 weeks from PA Classic Nationals. This is the strongest I've felt prepping for a national competition. We're so close to the IPF I can taste it.

    also what you were talking about with the lever hurting one side of the rib cage is true. i had that in the beginning and it caused me to tear a very fine muscle tissue underneath the ribs. highly recommend the lever being in the middle of the abdomen, avoiding the ribs
    i wasnt able to brace hard for around 2 weeks because of the mistake early on.

    It is so weird, many top lifters say to warm up, however Deathgrip Derek says as long as you can move right and well, you don't need any warm-up, just get under the bar,"Don't be a weenie"

      tbh i agree with him. You don’t necessarily need to do it everytime or for everyone, but if you aren’t moving around that much throughout the day and you think you won’t feel stiff just getting under the bar you are wrong. DG Derrick moves around and plays with his dog all day so that kinda his “warm up” before the gym.
