Thank you LEGO for sending this set for review.
Views and opinions are my own.

I'm starting to get concerned about the economic situation of Lego Castle Fans.
RIP
Stickers. So pass. I don't see the problem :D. Everytime lego includes stickers, it saves my wallet.
@@Nozdormu1982you do realize that stickers /lower/ the price, right??
@@manzington I rather pay more :p. Less sets is more. You don't have to have everything in my opinion.
Even worse with barad dur coming later to end us (village, d n d set, snow white, barad dur..)
I am so not the target demo for this, but I gotta admit this might be the most beautiful set in a long time. The details are off the charts
Honestly I'm almost tempted to buy this purely as a medieval building to display next to the Medieval Blacksmith.
Maybe it can be a small inn!
I like how there's some depth in the rooms. Makes it more fun when playing.
You couldn't place 'Happy' at the Snow White in a deep sleep/coma sidebuild, without his two 'happy' expressions looking somewhat off.
With a number of sets coming out without backs, lego could experiment and offer "expansion sets" for one or two of the models which complete the back side, and see how those sell.
TLG has susprised me before, but I won't hold my breath. Still, I like your idea.
Sheesh, sets already expensive enough, don’t give Lego any ideas for another income stream 😅
@@mmo5366Lego wants to make sets cheaper to make them available to more people. The more completionist people who can afford more can buy the add on set.
The open backside is a thing because it appeals more to kids as playable and it makes the sets cheaper, which is good in a kids toy.

That's funny how most prefer closed buildings. Personnaly I prefer by far open ones for display. I find it a shame to have gorgeous and very detailed interiors and not be able to see it except by taking the set apart, meaning not seeing the exterior as a whole anymore while on display...
Agree! I love seeing the details.
Great review as always! I love Disney, but I am mostly interested in this set for its shaping/look, vibrant colours, and the sort of medieval style. Thanks for showing it next to the markets as well! I want to get both eventually but I’m trying to decide which one to get first, on March first. After seeing both reviews I think I will go with this one.
Somebody pointed out that I should have placed it next to Hocus Pocus as well! The ideas Blacksmith should also pair really nicely with it!
@@TiagoCatarino Great idea! I think the vibrant colours of the blacksmith shop and this set would go great together! And I own the blacksmith. Thanks for the suggestion!
Beautiful set. Will have to cannibalize the window shutters for the medieval town square ....
Hey there! I have the town square coming in as I type this, would you mind sharing a little more as to how you’re envisioning doing so if you haven’t already? I’m looking to soak up technique wherever I can lol
@@Supremeteamcaptain I haven't done it / haven't planned it fully, but what I want to do is replace the wooden window shutter stickered tiles with the printed ones in the snow white house, find a good space for most of the items in the house, and turn the snow white house into a huge barn and some hay mounds. Using dwarf torsos, beads and hats as well , depending on how good they feel when I have them live in hand.
@@octav1600 this is such a magnificent vision, if you’re able to do it, I’ll literally pay you to source the parts you used for yours when it’s all said and done, 100% serious
Why Tiago, why you do such a great review and want this set more than ever 😅 I liked it and now I love it, Thank you! Have a great day 😊
The roof looks amazing!
yeah- really well done...
Amazingly boring to build though 😅
So funny, I can’t get past the mustard yellow color. That’s all I see when I look at it. 😢
This set is gorgeous, just like this video! Love watching Tiago videos on my TV, because they are 4k
Definitely a must have. I agree Tiago best set of 2024 so far in my opinion!!!
So, I'm going to have to buy 2 to close it and a couple of extra pieces for the hinges...great
Low point it's open back 😢 I want Lego sets with full 4 walls in buildings! Also dwarves could have molded faces with noses like Pinocchio. I better pay extra money for extra wall and extra heads unique to each dwarves and with than get disappointed😢
Really love the pine trees! Maybe you can make a forest if you have enough!
For me this has so much more character than the Medieval village which I found to be a big dissapointment. The open back doesn't bother me here and I find it similar to the Ginerbread house, which is one of my favourite sets I own
It's charming (pun intended), and a must buy for me! I do think this would have been a nice opportunity to get different color animals, especially the birds, instead of recycled pieces. But that is just a minor gripe. Thanks for the review!
Hey man! Congrats this video is very good! And I loved more this LEGO. 🍎✨
Thanks for the review, I'm sold.
Just when I’m wondering how it might go with the Lion Knight Castle, Medieval Balcksmith and Town Square, you showed us! Looks good, though the roof might need to be rebuilt using a more neutral colour. Still, certainly fits in 😊
I really love this cottage but I hate the open back so I’ll have to buy 2 of them to create 1 closed cottage with parts that can be opened/closed (maybe the same way as they did for the “Home Alone”-house).
Hi Tiago, great video and we are huge Disney fans and can’t wait to get this set on March 1st! Thanks for sharing this.
If you buy online, please use my affiliated links if you wish to support the channel! :)
This set is the same price as medieval town square in Australia even though there is a 1000 piece difference. For 400 dollars AUD I expect an closed back
Another set for my castle village!… amazing!!! 😍
The black pieces on the door first appeared on the venomised groot set.
I wouldnt want to pay extra for the back, it's expensive enough wanting extra buildings in a medieval / high fantasy setting!
A little confused as to why this set, a $220 Disney cottage with a light brick, has an open back, when the Sanderson Sister House, a $230 Disney cottage with a light brick, is complete sealed. Just a strange decision made on LEGO’s part.
The iron pieces on the door are part of Venomized Groot's tentacles in that set 😊
Aww, they could have totally done the noses! If they can make Mickey's whole head beautifully (I have Mickey as the Sorcerer's Apprentice) and not just paint his face on, then they can make noses for The 7 Dwarves.
Yes to the extra $50 for a closed back without losing interior details!
totally goes great with the castle layout. =)
Right?! Should have placed Hocus Pocus house and the Ideas Blacksmith in the mix as well!
@@TiagoCatarino I hope you get another opportunity to pose all those Medieval-looking sets, including the Hocus Pocus Cottage, together. Maybe with the upcoming D&D set.
👀👀👀
I do was wondering how it looked with the market place and the castle. and I might actually pick it up for that reason.
It is so packed with details! love it.
Not sure how to incorporate the fleshies with my yellow castle figures, but I'm not to worried about that.
I actually love the birch tree a lot!! (the white one)
Maybe remove heads and hands and replace them with yellow ones. Would be kinda funny to see them all as "regular" yellow minifigures ahah
I love this set, but those exposed plate bottoms up in the attic are an eyesore. Not sure how that could have been fixed, but still, something about the bottoms of plates are unsightly.
Wow that cottage is a beautiful design. Im more of a Castle guy but I might need to get this one
Lots out in March fantastic snow white set love the dwarfs great review 👍
Thank you 🤗
Design and colours are awesome. Detailed yellow roof, brown tiles for medieval wall structure, printed owl tips of logs, shutters, nice looking brick build door... just pure Lego poetry. This way should be designed new Medieval town square. As we can see it will fit perfect in my medieval diorama with Lion knight's castle and also with old medieval village, Kingdoms joust...
About cons, for this price cottage should be closed at the back, even thoug is Disney! And spruces with 2 different designs are a little weird, luckily exist alternative spruce who looks way better (only with relatively new leaf from Rivendell, similar to Tranquil garden).
that's a really solid, good-looking design...kids, in particular, will really love this set...
Too bad it’s 18+. Aside from UP and Mickey Mouse, kids aren’t allowed to have Disney sets with minifigs I guess. 😕
@@OkayYaraman I don't think kids care whether its minifigures or minidolls tbh.
I'm curious how much input was taken from the creator of the Ideas submission, which was put on hold, then later rejected. There are a lot of similar elements, so it'd be a shame if Lego saw the set, then rejected it purely to sell their own model.
I would spend a lot of time at my grandparents house as a child, and Snow White on VHS was my favorite movie to watch. This set is very nostalgic for me, but I still probably won’t get it because I’m a 20 year old guy in college now, and have no money or place to put it 😂😂😂
Very nice review, Tiago! These dwarfs minifigures are outstanding 😅 The house design is also very detailed, it even looks like those super detailed MOCs with a lot of illegal techniques, very nice design job using legal techniques! Unfortunately I think there is no way to sit dwarfs over the chairs because of the mini legs, right?
Forgot to show that, they just stand there but it doesn't look too ridiculous... I think 😅
@@TiagoCatarino haha, nice!
Probably easier to fit the dwarves around the table, simply by standing their mini-legs on the chairs, as I doubt the longer legs would easily squeeze under that table.
It looks way more Medieval than the Medieval Market set in my opinion.
Looks like an awesome set! 👌
At first I was like nah although I'm a Disney fan but seeing this video makes me kind of want it. It looks so nice and I don't mind the open back at all as that would be facing the wall when I display it anyway. But due the open back I also kind of wonder if this is really a set for adults or also a set for children to actually play with... not that adults cannot play with it of course.
Good point! Though I would argue it’s the details in the rooms and the film references that make it snow white’s cottage for fans, rather than just another cottage!
Should i buy this set or wait for the Nightmre Before Christmas set
I’d absolutely pay more for a closed design !!
Without the noses they look so cursed
Does anyone else's 'inner voice' slip into Tiago's voice when there working on a build or is it just me?
OMG 🥹
$50 premium for a closed back - absolutely. Its going to cost more than that to modify it to have a closed back.
100%. $50 is much less than it will cost to modify it using Rebrickable instructions etc. We're talking about $100 at least for that.
Better than $50 for a sound brick.
I bet my bottom dollar that you’re looking at a hundred dollar increase. Disney IP sets with a 10c price per brick RARELY happen, & I see this crossing the 3000 piece mark with the closed back. Sorry but like the Disney Castle just released it’s meant to be a dollhouse set.
Or less if they get rid of the pointless well and glass coffin builds.
@@jmentone True, but the point is, you can have both. The Hocus Pocus and Home Alone sets work as both dollhouses *and* fully-sealed sets, thanks to hinges etc. Plus, this is a 18+ set which is already at a high price, rather than a set predominantly designed for play.
Nice set. Wish Lego made all the minifigures exclusive to the set.
Leave a like for every Lego castle fan that is going bankrupt this year.
Great video
I love this build! Incredibly true to the medieval. 😊
It really is!
How awesome 😍😍
How do you pick it up to put it in storage?
I was wondering if it fits into the medieval village, damn more money to expend!
I myself was more of a Beauty and the Beast guy, but this set is amazing.
In my opinion, the 18+ sets should not have stickers. This should be something Lego guarantees for all 18+ sets from now on.
Prefer open back design, or optional closed one. The idea is to get a 360° view very nice. But displaying isbhard need to be in the center of your room ...
The Disney Castles are open-backed.
The Up House is open backed.
The Lion Knight's Castle is open-backed.
The Medieval Market is open-backed.
So it fits with all those sets.
Technically you can close the Castle and the Market builds but yeah!
how is the lion castle open backed. Everything that can be closed perfectly can in my opinion not be called open backed.
And I'm spending a damn fortune right now modifying my Up House, so it fits into a Lego City, so yeah, it is annoying.
@@GregOrCreg I do hope it will be places between two high rises.
@@bloodymarvelous4790 Oh, it is. It's between The Daily Bugle and The Avengers Tower.
wait, batteries included? is there a lightbrick?
$270 for a back? Yeah, I'd pay the difference
In the case of this set i would be fine with a 50 dollar mark up for a complete back because lego wont make another set like this again most likely wait for discount i guess
Well I wanted it so much, but the open backside design is a K.O. Design for me ….
C'mon, now be honest everyone - you were waiting for Tiago to say: "and no, this set does not come with a Doom bow". LOL Thanks for the great review as always Tiago !!!
🫠🫠🫠
I'm a big fan of modular so would prefer a mark up! that being said there are often MOCs that allow custom modularisation of open back sets, but the problem is that it costs lot more than if Lego had done it in the first place! Beautiful set otherwise.
Never knew there was ‘Sneezy’ 🤔 poor guyy
So cute this reminds me of Rammstein - Die Sonne 💪🏻
If you're making a city, specifically one with more depth than a single row of sets, then I understand complaints about the open back. But for the two MUCH BIGGER demographics, casual adult fans looking for display pieces and children looking to play, this sets focus on a single immaculate facade and roomy interior full of details is the optimum design decision.
1:58 the beginnings of the nose revolution can't be stopped
Do they mention how it was “borrowed” from a failed LEGO idea set?
Lego should sell supplementary sets w pieces and instructions to make it ( and other sets) closed
As an Australian Lego fan, and a lifelong Snow White fan, I'm super disappointed that it isn't an enclosed modular. Given that Hocus Pocus, another Disney Licensed set, had 2316 pieces, was an enclosed modular AND was $50AUD cheaper at $350, than Snow White will be at $399 with only 2228 pieces. Given there is a $90AUD difference in price taking into account currency exchange for USD, I can't help but feel Australian Lego fans are copping it with the price tag on this one.
I'm a Dopey collector, so will I suck it up and buy the set? Yes. Will I be happy about it? Not so much.
I appreciate your review and opinion.
Could you please tell the dimensions of the house?
I still wait new Bilbo's house with 13 dwarves...
I much rather would pay a slightly higher price if the build is closed and the roof is removable instead of hinging in the middle. A removable roof on any build makes it so much easier to interact with (especially with adult hands)
I'm not personally a fan of Snow White, but I like this and kinda want it. Lol
@TiagoCatarino What do you think is the best march released Lego set
Watch the video 👀
Same!I too liked this set the most@@TiagoCatarino
Even this is Snow white Lego, I still have PTSD from Rachel Zegler interview 😂 "weird~ weird..."
Given that I'll end up buying at LEAST another $50+ for extra parts on Bricklink to fill in the back and make it a complete four-walled build... yeah I'd really rather they just complete the house in the kit. I really, really hate open-backed sets. At least the other medieval kits had a hinge to access the play-features. That should absolutely have been done here too.
Hey, Snow White is white! And the set isn't cancelled yet?
I hope we get those new beard pieces in something else
3:15 WOOOOO! NAUGHTY!
Hi ho, hi ho, it’s off to LEGO we go!
What was the included battery which show in your video for?
The light brick of the fireplace
Thanks. I missed you pointing that out.
@@TiagoCatarino
No dollhouse backs please. Yes i would pay more.
Please review Hagrid’s Hut soon!
It'll be the next video!
Nice to see Lego was able to override Disney's demand to make Snow White and the seven DEI'S
Snow White and the seven clever boooys
The front is beautiful. The inside/back… not my cup of tea. Easy skip for me.
I'm not sure the colour of the roof will fit in with medieval villages that well
I like it
Four Hundred Australian Dollarydoos is a massive ask, good lord
Why didn’t they include evil step mother and daughters and glass
slippers?
(Am I thinking of the wrong story?)
Let's be honest here
A 50usd mark up to have a closed back as well? This is lego we're talking about, it'd be at least a 100usd mark up. Yeah this okay, if I want a closed back, I'll just buy a second copy of this set and maybe a few extra pieces.
Yes! I would have paid an extra $50 for a closed design.
Why is the roof orange rather than yellow?! 🤔
Hmm I wonder if there will be the Italian name as stickers...
So we can get printed shudders but not printed murals in the new Disney Castle. Got it.
220???
Is the cape to stop her biting at her stitches? 🤔
😂 woof woof.
