    I saw a similar incident with an empty 40' flatbed gooseneck. Driver chocked 1 wheel, and only behind it on asphalt, and when he disconnected the truck the trailer immediately started sliding on the landing gear, swung nose out to the right, slamming the neck through a plate glass window. It destroyed a couple of desks and computers in the building.

    Bull crap, the trailer "DID NOT" slide. I was pushed into the car or the car driver was backing up into it at a fast pace. No skid marks from the landing gear or tire marks. Maybe it was nighttime when this happened!

    • @FurryWrecker911
      @FurryWrecker911 Před 5 měsíci +13

      Yeah, there's a lot of oddities with this. No skid marks from landing gear. No dig marks from the truck's hub being drug across the lot either. Tire tracks in the gravel show the trailer was backed straight in despite it obviously being diagonal and no longer in line with the tuck it came in on, and the wheel chocks are perfectly perpendicular to where the axles are resting, which implies gravity took a brief nap or someone relocated the chocks after it slid. This is why it pays to have CCTVs and a DVR on business lots because I'd love to see what _really_ happened. This math ain't mathing.

  • @teamidris

    If you pause and look really closely you can see the car was shoved forward a foot with its brakes locked on. This is as well as the trailer being feet away from the blocks. As said in the comments, someone hit it with a big truck and I bet they were reversing in the dark.

      Newer cars have better structural rigidity, stronger materials aside. A swinging trailer would not cave itself into a car like that especially on level ground. Also if two chockd were used on one side of the trailer, during its rotation, the back set of wheels would have rolled over the chock in front of it slowing its momentum. That's a dodge. Too bad it's not one of the higher quality ones, because if they have a recall on the damn lug studs, you know the rest of the truck is just waiting to put you on the side of the road. Or in a ditch,or against a tree. The list goes on. My suggestion: ARP makes lug studs that are super strong. Get those installed, and then you have one less problem with the truck. As for the trailer, there's nothing that can be done about that. The car is more than likely getting totaled out, and the owner is gonna be mad. So long as you weren't the person who didn't properly chock the wheels, I doubt you have much to worry about.

      @@savagedabs8536 Actually I'm starting to doubt parts of the story presented, the part where they chocked one side and it swung the trailer around onto the dodge seems ok, but when exactly did it lose the duals, As they were backing the trailer into the parking area?🤷‍♂

      @bobswrigles8636 The problem is that the chocks were on the wrong side for the way it swung. They would have to be on the inside of the swing, not the outside like they were.

      @@savagedabs8536 Just another little oddity with this video👍
      BTW Did you pick up that the Dodge doesn't have a rear plate as well.

    Why are the chocks so far away from the trailer wheels? Did all eight of those trailer tyres slide sideways? 🤣😆 🐂💩

    Just raise the landing gear and move the trailer with the SUV. Is this a big dealership, or some con man's chop shop?
