Hey guys, one final detail on Installation - put a small blob of silicone, or rubber tape on the aluminium crossbar to complete the stabilising. The tension between this bar and the curled tabs can vary, given the combined movement of the rubber grommets and tab profile. Cheers

@@monsieurg9252 That is a valid question. I am thinking to give mine a few wraps with electrical tape. Everything on a moto is water resistant though. Usually the plastic housings are to keep things tidy and not full of dirt.

I run on my world raid the Garmin Montana 750i, but I mounted above my speedometer and sideways on the crossbar. I did this as I find the Montana has better usable display sideways, i can also adjust the angle with help with glare. I also incorporated a quad lock dampener in the mount. I then just use the usb cable to bike socket for lower. Works perfect.

Installing now and seeing a bit of contact between the speed and the tower. Hopefully nothing to worry about? Can’t get it to sit any lower.
If only we could get the speedo and the GPS reading to be the same! 😂 10% out at 100kph is pretty annoying when on the road.
You can put an other abs ring on your front wheel hub to get that problem solved.
@ellerdschippers No you can't, I tried that, and you need both front and rear, but even then that doesn't work as there is a gear reading that throws faults and confuses the computer when to go into eco-mode, it dramatically increases fuel consumption as it makes the bike run rich.

Yeah mate, that GPS bracket runs power cable back through the TFT hole and then down direct to battery 👍

Can you do wheelies with the warhorse too? Jump over trunks like with the T7?
The Warhorse can be forced to do all of those things, but I don't want to hurt her ... so I've stopped that kind of behaviour when riding the old girl. That doesn't mean I don't let her eat. I love revving the motor through the gears on epic dirt roads. Never gets old.
Did you put anything on the backside of the screws holding the GPS mount in place to prevent them from backing out or are the bare tips just poking out?

Same question from my side. I know it's impossible to test with all aftermarket handguards but the Barkbusters are so popular, I wonder if anyone has a clue if the mount would fit with them?

Hey, does it work with the Garmin Zumo XT ? My T3 is a base, so its the other stabiliser plate. Did you tried with the Zumo ?

Hi Adam, really interested in one of these for my World Raid, ive got the bar mounts spun around to open up the cockpit (im a tall long unit) so the bars are closer to the dash, do you think there would be clearance issue with this setup? Cheers
Hi mate, even with the bar clamps spun, The handlebars themselves should be well clear. However, I suspect whatever hand guards you are running may contact. In my experience, most handguard mounting brackets are way longer than they need to be and hang off your handlebars like bull bars. Plenty of people have purchased our mount and modified their handguards to suit.

Hey adam, does this work with barkbusters? Id get it then, but having it sent here to germany without knowing is a bit of a risk... Hipe you can help. If barkbusters fot, all others should fot too, ghey are the bulkiest handguardss i know

Hey Phil, it's pretty close (about 2mm) , but it won't ever hit as long as the barkbusters don't move. So make sure they stay solid. Even if the bars bend, I think there is enough clearance.

Isn't easier to mount something like this "r12-bar-clamp-amps"
It will raise the device towards your point of view a little bit more, than the regular t7 display height.
But what's the problem with the wobbly speedo? Isn't it that it's done this way by purpose? Otherwise, Yamaha would have done it differently and made it stiffer? I'm riding mine Tenere, speedo is shaking, true, but it's all fine. I agree with the GPS position, I mount mine on the bar on the tower and it's even higher.

The TFT is much thinner than the original version. You have to shorten the inside barclamps of the barkbusters, as they are very long.
