- As we prepare for the first event with the new 15 degree engine, I go through the 750 CSU on Billy’s truck and show some of my personal tune up settings and explain how and why things work.

This is not only for my viewers, but for my kids as well. In case something happens to me some day, they can go back and watch this stuff. Often when I’m trying to teach them something, it’s hard to keep their attention. TicToc, and Instagram etc…. Faces in the phone and distractions all the time.
You are the carburetor King, thanks for another lesson 🤟🏼🏁🇺🇸🏁🇺🇸🏁🇺🇸
Yeah its sad how these dam phones have become such addictions!!!!!
Badass as always Bill, thank you!! Good luck to you all this weekend!
Thanks pal. I have had alot of questions about blow though carbs and u nailed it!
Good Luck Saturday Bill and The SRC Family.
This has become one of my favorite CZcamsr channels. Nowadays you don't see families like this, really puts the icing on the cake.
You're a good man and you've raised two good kids that have a career in front of them because of you. Everyone go sign the RPM ACT and help save street cars and racing as a sport.
Your a natural bill. More knowledge than google. Thank you for the education.
This is Google!🤣
Love the carb lesson videos! Kind of a lost art now days with fuel injection.
This video brought back some memories of stuff I learned reading maximum boost by corky Bell back in the day
Love it “old man” learning a lot here!!!!
Omg. U missed ur calling. U been best shop teacher ever. Listen to you all day teach. Let's build it together episodes. Thank you sir. Your boys very lucky.
would have been great to have a dad like this. I hope Tommy and Billy appreciate it!!
Thank you for taking me to school, been a mechanic for 30 years and it still amazes me how much I DON’T know! God Bless 🖤
How well spoken he is makes all the difference in these tutorials. Old man is a great teacher. What a valuable asset for Billy.
Just starting a blow throw SBC build now and out of the blue this old vid appears on my recommendations. I'm a subscriber of the Chanel but don't remember this. Anyway, I learnt more invaluable information for my build in a few minutes of this video than from any video I can think of. Thank you!
Just thought you would get a laugh out of this: Hobby is when you buy a new car with efi, Passion is when you keep the old carb cars running. (p.s. I dont drive anything newer then a 1986 and I have a lot of passion.)
Facts 💯
I would take a carb any day of the week over EFI in my daily driver.
It was so much easier and cheaper to bang on a float bowl if there was fuel deliver problem.
EFI is great when it’s right but when it goes wrong it’s a PITA to diagnose, things were so much easier when everything was mechanical.
Love the RC car stand as your carburetor work station 😎
I was thinking the same thing
Knowledge like this normally goes to the grave. Its nice you can make videos like this for your youngins so they can always look back but I hope future generations see this as well. Not only are you a nitrous guru, you are an all around guru. One of a kind for sure, not many people left like you Bill. Thank you for the in depth videos like this.
Keeping Carbs alive! schooling my EFI Ass with the knowledge!
Fr lol I been alround EFI and imports my whole life. But man nothing can beat the sound of a v8. Also the advice you gave this video was really helpful, it helped me at least get a understanding about how carburetors work. I know I’m on a rant but most people my age don’t know jack shit about cars, damn they can’t even change a wheel or a interior bulb lol.
@@heyitsdurancitooo5212 It is crazy how good a V-8 sounds. I think it is harmonic perfection. Just a balance of sound that for lack of a better word "SINGS".
Almost musical, I know that sounds crazy. Like there are guitars and then there are GUITARS.
I'm talking Allman Brothers, Chris Stapleton, Warren Haynes Guitar.
Take Care and God Bless
Dr Ole Man going through some serious data here! Thanks for the learning on your setup Sir!
Priceless knowledge thanks for sharing. Been a cheekey..... everytime the ol man says" ok " drinking or smoking game have a good one . Perhaps
I been playing with carbs all my life. But never with forced air. You taught me a lot in this video. Them boys better listen to the ol’man. With all the EFI bolt on stuff today what you just showed everyone is a lost art. Great video Bill. Please do some videos on bracket racing. Teach people you don’t need a tube chassis car and a $30,000 dollar big block to go racing. I bracket raced years ago with a 340 Plymouth Duster, and didn’t have $2500 in the whole car. This was the early 90’s
Mr. Bill I run a 355 with a Procharger on the street and some track time. I extended the vent tubes on my 750 carb about a year ago. I was able to take alot of jet out the carb to lean out out a very rich part throttle problem. It's the best thing I could have done to my carb yet. It drives and runs great now just a little rich on WOT but a slight jet change in the secondary should fix that. Thank you so much for sharing what you know on carburetors. I am constantly looking at ways to make a blow thru carb run better. Thank you.
I love how you teach and show people. Lot of racers wont tell or show you nothing
Nice just watched billy now the ole man today is a good day
thanks for the rundown mate! Many of us love our inline 6's here in Australia as a result I've only worked with fuel injection so learning how you guys roll with a carb is awesome.
6 SU's hanging off the side of a straight 6 looks pretty killer...
This is a lost art for Damn sure I’m a carb guy so this hits home and makes my 44 year old ass actually learn something new. Now to find all those 20-30 holleys I’ve accumulated. Thanks for the lesson I really appreciate it.
Was glad to finally hear great news.
Truck looks real fast. I have learned so much about small block Chevys. I just want to say that your family does not need a TV show.
You'll get it figured out Ole Man. That's what us old men are good for. I just wish I wasn't ten years older than you. Keep up the good work
Thanks for your time and knowledge Bill!!
Y'all looked pretty good old man !!! Looks like it's rolling out the big end!!! Preying for you and your family sir.
God Bless you and the SRC family.
The knowledge of this guy is impeccable!
This video takes me back in time with my cousin. He was a Holley master and taught me the trade but now I am older and out of it I am lost untill you did this video. Thank you ole man for doing a great job on schooling us on the Carb enjoyed it like I have all other videos.
Thankyou for explaining in detail, I've been intrested in how it works so I can build my setup
Excellent job on this video bill. I look at this video 📹 from time to time. Between you and pink carbs I've got an education on something I thought I had a decent handle on. lol... not. Haha. These type of videos are very helpful for anyone. Only thing I've done differently is I put a small flare on the end of the ext. Tubes to smooth out the airflow consistency. Thanks Bill
Thanks Bill. Class is definitely in session! Never messed with a blow thru carb but it makes a lot of sense now how it works. Part of the reason I love your channel, the info you hand out is priceless and useful
Thanks brother. Good luck this weekend

I’ve always wondered about the vent extensions. Makes way more sense now. Can’t wait to see it this weekend !
I tune on gasoline 4150’s. So those jet sizes are MASSIVE compared to what I deal with!! 😆 Good stuff man!! Love the videos! Keep ‘em coming!

You’re welcome
This is one of your best videos. Its very very helpful and im sure i speak for us all when i say all this makes much more sense now.
Thanks Bill. You're a wealth of knowledge
Strive for perfection in all things but be wary of achieving it.
Once perfection is attained there is nothing left to live or work for.
Nice thing is that working towards perfection is a reward unto itself, ya ain't gotta get there but the effort improves you in success or failure.
I really like and appreciate these videos you put out they are very informative and easy to follow
I have learned a lot from your videos your very good explaining and teaching Keep them coming I enjoy learning
I don't even want to think about your name in the past tense sentence with that said you are already the man the myth the legend to me, you just layed down a wealth of knowledge for the years to come for all that want to partake I seen the way you have Billy's truck running now there was no doubt in my mind that it was just a matter of time before you have that S10 sit down roll over and do tricks for you and just think you're just getting started you and Miss Vicky are top notch American role models rather you ask for it or not all I can say is THIS IS THE WAY!
The new engine sounds great glad to see you guys getting a handle on it best of luck next weekend 👍👍
Awesome vid. Thanks for the info on the blow through carb.
Good luck this weekend.
First thing i do with my coffee in the morning is..... watch what you’ve been up to!!!! ‘Being able to work with my daughter on our car (70 LS Turbo Nova) and a little more recently, starting a little business (Speedworks Racing Solutions) is such a blessing!! Love seeing how close you guys are and how open you are to share your knowledge with everyone!! ....INSPIRING!! Keep it up!
WOW I just learned a lot thanks so much for this video. this will be my first blow threw carb set up on pump gas
I was thinking that very thing while watching this video.
Learned a lot thanks!
Most informative lesson teach 👍👋 i remember back oh some years ago🙄reading my Holley carb books at bed time 😆 then girls got in the way 💘 this channel Bill and family✌
Great video! So much information that most racers won’t share. 👍👍
Great knowledge Mr. Bill.
One hell of a video Bill I appreciate all the information keep the info coming
Great video, I remember back in the early days when the carbs were put inside a sealed box to make them work in a blow through set up.
Hey Bill, Thank you for doing this type of video.I'm older and won't ever race but love to learn more about carbs, and everything race (mechanical) related. It's very interesting and i love learning from you as the way ;you describe stuff is great. Please do more of this type of videos. It doesn't have to be on carbs, but anything that is mechanical. Thanks again, later
Thanks for the lesson I have a new understanding and it all makes perfect sense to me...👌
Bill, You've managed to do something that nearly NO one else has in a LONG LONG time. And thats keep my full attention to learn something that I'm very interested in. There's several high school teachers that are very envious of you right now. 😉 lol. Great video Sir. You have a way of explaining things in terms we all can understand. 🙏🇺🇲🏁 And all of you and your family be safe.
Great videos as always. Always informative.
your knowlege amasses me Bill
Good you didn't give up on the motor. As the old man you know that it will take some time to dial in combo.
KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK BOYS, GOD BLESS !!
That is a lot of knowledge on that carburetor and that's a lot to take in just by watching you one time , But all of it makes perfectly good sense
be safe guys
Always great videos. 👍
Love watching your channel. These tricks and tips especially
Thanks Bill, also glad things went well this weekend. That milk in the oil, I have fought with that wrenching on a front engine nostalgic top fuel dragster. On a cool damp night at the track, change the oil after every pass. Anyway thanks for all the info, it is always good to know different things. Never done fuel through carbs, only gas, always had a barrel valve and a pill to adjust. LOL.
Don't knock the phones too much, that is what brought you to us! LOL I used to get really frustrated with my kids, because I thought they were not listing, but one day they started saying the same things I had been telling them, I was astounded and asked where did that come from?? They said we heard you, but didn't need it until now!! LOL I had all girls.
Yes, appreciate the inside scoop. We older guys like some of the old school tips.
Already watched JR's video, hope to see you start really wicking that thing up soon👍🇺🇸
I still can't wrap my mind around yall making this much power thru a 750 carb!
Great content Daddy Bibs. Very easy to understand the way you explain it. Peace
One of your best videos
Awesome video I love the tutorial the education explanation very awesome!! They look you guys this weekend hope everything runs well and I hope you guys are safe and have fun!!
Love the channel! Hope you get Billy’s S-10 running like a top soon!
Thank you for the tech tips. Always needed. Jus to put in the library
