This isn't perfect, since some aspects of the stories are identical in both Leon and Claire's story. For that reason there's no true chronological order in my opinion. This is a combination of Leon's 1st run and Claire's 2nd run. But there is plenty that is different and distinct to each character. I tried to mix it in a way that made it as though Claire might have been to a location first, then Leon made it there later. Sometimes they fight the same bosses, so I picked and chose which way seemed better for the overall story. Overall, with a little suspension of disbelief, I think it flows well together as one solid and unified story. I hope you enjoy!

The only thing I would redo would be to have the scene where Leon says goodbye to Marvin first, then have the gameplay where Claire makes it to the main lobby of RPD and shoots Marvin as a zombie. Other than that, looks really good.

The remake is a lil different. I believe the elements of the A and B scenarios have been combined for both of their runs. I don't think it will make a real difference do them in reverse order in the remake. At least that wad my understanding, I may be wrong
I really like remake's leon, since he seems more nervous and confused about the whole ordeal, it really hit on the human part of it.
It’s honestly a bit startling considering what he turns into in the next game: a one man army who puts John Wick to shame.

The RE2 cast seems so much more human and realistic in this game. They definitely did a great job adapting the story and certain scenes for the remake.

Zombies in cutscenes die from a single shot while zombies in the game can take at least six shots in the head and keep coming. You’ve got to love it.

@Ututwhynot I think these remakes actually make these classic games accessable to a new generation who now find it hard to get hold of the generation of consoles the originals came out on. Unfortunately sequels and remakes do make up a large part of game releases now, however this is the way to do a remake. This isn't just doing the bare minimum to make the game compatible to modern systems

My only complaint was Leons voice actor sounding too young. But after a few cutscenes i could finally get re4 leons voice out of my head lol
The actor they chose for Leon was perfect. He sounds 6 years younger than himself in Resident Evil 4
Fun fact Leons va grew up on re and is a huge fan. He streamed himself playing various games in the series

I thought he was one of the few people that were immune so I passed it off as that but apparently he never got bit so this is just a game thing of its own.
I think, canonically, all RE characters were never bitten by zombies outside the story cutscene (e.g.: Jill in RE3)

I wish there were more interactions between the two, as well as Leon interacting with Sherry at all, like the original game but I love what they've done with the characters themselves.
Fun fact, the very first zombie at the beginning that the trucker hit was Mia’s model from RE7 but with blonde hair.

Heck, if only the ANIMATED (or even live-action) films could be this good! The characters in these remakes were much more relatable, the dialogue interesting and real, and the story intriguing, not just shooting scene after shooting scene.
The films relegate Leon (and other characters) to an action-figure caricature--all bravado and no depth. Even the recent "Death Island" reverted Leon back to this type. VERY disappointing!
They tried a little more with the series "Infinite Darkness," but I think they went a little TOO lightly on the action so many viewers got bored (though NOT including me!).
I just hope they will continue with what they've created with Leon and if/when the remake RE6, they continue the Leon we have come to love from RE2R/RE4R! I'm so excited bc OG RE6has real potential if they just do it right!
At 20:25, I can't get over how Leon awkwardly cuts Claire off like that. The lines make sense it's just that it's like Leon delivered his line way too soon.

I totally agree. I don't know why they (the editors, director, etc.) left it like that. People cut each other off all the time, yes, but this was really choppy, very awkwardly done.

Kendo's daughter scene always gets to me. I wasn't prepared the first time I played, now anytime I play this I skip right through it. You never understand something like that until you have a child taken from you. Probably the worst thing to relate to, even for just a video game. Still one of my favorite recent games.

This is what I think happened at Laboratory:
Annette gave Sherry the cure > Fainted > Woke up moved downstairs and met Leon> Told Leon about Ada > Fainted again > Woke up and shot Ada > Died for real.
My suspension of disbelief finds this logic adequate. Good enough for me.
And then died again, for realest real, with her daughter and Claire later.
Leon sleeping off a gunshot wound is not the most far fetched thing in this story…in case hadn’t noticed 😂😂
I love that we see Claire come in and blow zombie Branagh's head off, yet Leon later finds him chilling on his chair, refusing to come downstairs. Still a fun watch though

I thought the editing for this was great! I definitely didn't think I'd actually watch this as a movie, yet here I am in bed cozied up like I am lmao. It almost would've been the cherry on top if the credits were left in at the end, then it would've super felt like a movie hahaha. Can tell you put a lot of thought and effort into this. This remake was absolutely awesome! I hear Nemesis is next, but how about they make one that actually finishes the series story. Way back in the early days of these games I had hoped and assumed that they would make a final game with all of the characters meeting up for a final battle so let's hope that happens.
Well they're probably remaking Resident Evil 4 and Code Veronica. I hope they make one for Outbreak also, and finally another that shows how they took down Umbrella the first time.

CV was really the last game to be survival horror before the series became more actiony and of course it had the quality Redfield zombie killing sibling time and i liked them working together. But 4 was still great because of its story, setting and still being creepy and a badass Leon. I'll take as many more remakes they want to make.
@@TheDoctorwho747 Capcom said if fans asked for it they will. They said the same about RE2 and RE3 and they delivered. No one asked for RE4 because that one is already a masterpiece, but they're doing it anyway because it was the best selling RE game for a long time, so they're gonna bank on that one for sure too. Code Veronica will be epic if they do remake it. The Redfields taking on the Ashford twins gives the game an interesting dynamic.

And while the 3 remake wasnt quite as good as 2 i still enjoyed the hell out of it. Also yes the Ashford twins i forgot to mention them they were crazy in the original CV and i can only imagine what they will do with a remake. So i imagine we will probably get both cuz i think fans do want any more remakes.

This game remake is absolutely stunning! The graphics, character design, scripting (for the most part), and voice acting was fantastic!!!
My only complaint is that Leon seems so chipper throughout--even at the very end, he's all flowers and sunshine, bouncily saying that as long as they're together they can stop all evil forever! (Ok, a little exaggeration, but you get the point!) It doesn't really show how broken the Raccoon City event started making him, and it doesn't transition smoothly into what he becomes by RE4R (or even Darkside Chronicles, which is the only real segue into RE4R for him gamewise). I understand that it kept up the sweet, naive soul character, but then doesn't explain the moody broody he became when he says in the intro to RE4R that Raccoon City "killed the cop" (ie: innocent idealism) in him.
Awesome that was nostalgic I must say!!! There are some few scenes I was expecting from the past but that's totally fine, well done!!!

Claire (or Leon) Arrives at Mizoil first, tells Claire to get down like in the original.
Leon arrives at the police station first, meets Marvin and gains his knife.
Claire arrives second, sees the licker in the window @ West Hallway (like in the original.)
Leon heads through parking lot, meets Ada and Ben, encounters dogs.
Claire encounters and fights Birkin, meets Sherry.
Claire heads through parking lot, meets Irons and encounters lickers feeding on the dog corpses.
Leon encounters Mr X in the 2nd floor East Hallway (like in the original.)
(Here is where it goes more technical.)
Leon and Ada enter the sewers first, kill the crocodile and then Leon is shot, Annette leaves behind a door.
Claire and Sherry escape Irons, William, and a slashed Mr. X and enter the sewers where Claire then meets Annette.
Ada leaves Leon to rest and encounters a recovered X who is now also in the sewers.
While Ada sleuths around, Claire fights Birkin and rescues Sherry while Annette incapacitates Ada.
Claire, Sherry, Annette leave for Nest
Leon wakes up and rescues an incapacitated Ada, they leave for Nest.
Claire has to create the vaccine for Sherry.
Leon has to find the sample for Ada.
Claire makes it through the entire Nest section first for the most part.
Leon makes it through the entire Nest section second for the most part.
Claire fights Birkin, Ada betrays Leon.
Claire vaccinates Sherry and they escape first, pass the burning pipes and machinery safely.
Leon escapes second, the burning pipes explode and he and encounters X, fights and kills him with Ada's help.
Claire and Sherry fight Birkin in the freight platform.
Leon just makes it to the cablecar, meets Sherry and Claire again.
Claire finishes off Birkin.

I love and beat this game 3-4 times. 2X each character. The best thing to do is to shoot their knee caps, so they’ll fall down and save bullets. RE 2 isn’t like the others that gives you a shit ton of ammo. You’re just supposed to keep moving through and solve clues, using your bullets whenever necessary.
