In my opinion I think Zekka should have saved his "look at the crowd boy" for a possible battle with Colaps. The effect would have been greater considering that was what was said to Colaps by Dlow.
They are very good friends and i think between friends there are no hard feelings...if i was battling my friend and he does this to me i would most definitely know that he is in the "battle spirit" and not being offensive

It did happen before, the rule is this: if you cross the boundaries with a physical touch during the battle and you win, your opponent will be asked if he felt humiliated, hurt, offended or anything by that physical contact, if he says yes, you are disqualified, if he says it's fine by him than nothing happens and you move on in the competition
tbh spanish people in general can be really touchy (not in a bad way). to me, zekka got too caught up in the battle and touched his face, and right afterwards it looked like he realized what he did and regretted it. it wasn’t in a malicious way either, more like a “look at what i’m doing” way.

(Think it was a video colaps did where he invited different beatboxers to tag team with him, and Zekka was one of them). Also touching someone is against the rules but in a lot of cases the rule isn't enforced unless the person being touched complains about it, in which case the person doing the touching should get disqualified. Think there was a case where Skiller got a bit into his beatboxing and punched Ball-Zee in the stomach, but Ball-Zee was cool with it and didn't want skiller to lose a battle he had already won because of that rule :D Also depends on the judges whether they take it into account when judging, I think most of the top level judges don't care but only D-low voted for Zekka here so it's hard to say lol
I want to say that I 100% agree with Cliff, even tho they are friends, Zekka went way too far. I personally don’t like this attitude and I know for a fact that these things are actually penalized in a certain process and maybe it did contribute to the judges decision. If Zekka didn’t cross that boundary mayb he would have won.

Actually the rules, fully state no contact is allowed, it's just never been enforced because normally when it happens it's a light touch on the shoulder or a light finger touch on the chest etc...but Zekka was actually grabbing, so technically, he should have been DQ'd

i completely agree with your stance on the touching. rap battles and in turn beatbox battles were born in order to avoid physical violence and set aside differences with a skill based competition. zekka apologised for acting the way he did in the heat of the moment in the comments of that battle and i don’t believe he deserves punishment but it should be made clear that what he did was wrong so it doesn’t happen again in the future.
For clarification, a couple people did get to speak after rounds, Stitch was one off the top of my head, but it was an unusual situation, not sure they did that the other events.

I completely agree with u with the face grab situation it’s a battle to make a better music piece not to intimidate the opponent physically because it comes across quite violent and aggressive but ye hopefully he lost points for it my guy 🤣
You’re right, there’s a very strong possibility to almost a certainty that Zekka lost points for grabbing his face, and it could have even been the main reason that the judge’s chose Collaps to move on instead. I felt the same way you did as well, the face grab was just way too far and it was uncomfortable to watch

I think colaps won even without zekka making physical contact. This is his closest battle in my opinion. Ik people say the battle vs inertia was his closest but I actually think that was more of a clear decision. I'd edge colaps based on cleaner beats, better combos. Zekka definitly had the crowd behind him but when I blast his rounds the sounds aren't clean.
