Okay, to put it into perspective, it's a very popular choice to pick D-Low. But here's why. It's not just the crazy journey and technique that sets him apart from other Beatboxers. It's actually him. His actual personality and his own personal journey. His career has been this underdog Netflix original type beat that started with lack of funds in the underground beatbox scene, finding places under bridges with enough reverb to shoot a video, all while being the most kind, and genuine guy he's always been. To now. As you said it. The literal Eminem of beatbox. Though he'd argue that he is simply the first D-Low. In his competition videos you see little glimpses of who he is, sure. You see all of his performance skill and technique, but the live streams he does where he chills out on CZcams and connects with his fan base? That's the real Danger Dan. There is no one else like him. He's established HIMSELF as his art. Lots of beatboxers strive to be the kings of tech, the kings of routines, etc. But nobody has done what Dan has done better from what I've seen that has really set the bar for presenting their artistry as them. Who THEY are in their career. D-Low almost created this window in the beatbox community that has this little thing you pull on, and it yanks you into smiling more while you progress on your beatbox journey. You gain skills in beat analysis, you gain courage from enjoyment, you gain tips and tricks to sound and feel more like you while you practice and master your sound. He isn't just a beatboxer anymore. He isn't even an influencer. He is like the patron Saint of beatboxing. There is just something, a quality in D-Low that makes you have hope in one day being able to rock out like nobody is watching and just unfurl this crazy mouthful of talent just like he does. It's just what he does. He has the charisma, he has the talent, he has the calm, he just knows that he has a legacy to display to the entire beatbox world. That would be exactly why he is my favourite beatboxer. The best way you find the best is to look for a beatboxer who would be an absolute riot to hangout with as a human being. Not just a performer. Dan hits that target so front and center its almost ridiculous.

Scott Jackson is an absolutely amazing Mc and compare and deserves so much more credit and respect than what he gets,
Napom and D-Low are my favourites, purely because of their variations of sounds, beats and tracks - Napoms Elimination in this years GBB is one of my favourite routines ever!
Also the intro is samples from multiple wildcard entries. GBB get someone to do a sample mash up theme at each event 👍

They don't get someone for them to do that, Sinjo does it, and yes it's basically a mix of wildcards (2020 and 2021 wildcards to be specific) and not only the winners btw, you can see that cuz that singing at the end is Den's

    Beardyman & D-Low
Beardyman was who I first discovered when finding beatboxing and his talent for creating music on the spot as he has evolved is incredible although he has fallen behind as far as pure beatboxing talent is concerned when it comes to looping and live creating music he is second to none.
D-Low is possibly the best beatboxer on the planet currently he gets better every single times he has needed to be and proves that over and over again the man is insane talent and we are all blessed for having both of these people in ours lives and all the others most of them are the best people you could meet on this planet and do not get the appreciation they all deserve

My favorite of the SBX/GBB community is definitely D-Low. The love he has for it shines through in literally everything he does. On top of that, he does no drama, no controversy. He's humble, he genuinely wants people to succeed, even his opponents.
But my favorite of all time is most definitely Adam Rupp of Home Free. D-Low is really impressive, putting on a 20 minute set like that, with a lot of variety, a good theme, a consistent beat, and great sounds...
Adam Rupp does that as his drum solo in a show in which he's already gone for a solid hour, and is going to go for another. He can hold the whole audience enraptured all by himself... and then he can just _be a drummer_ and hold down a beat so steady, so perfect, that it literally sounds like a drummer on stage, song after song, beat after beat, all night long.
I've always been curious what the competition scene thinks of guys like him. I asked D-Low once, but didn't get a response.
I wonder if they see them as the goal, landing a solid gig with good money and security? Or do they see them as sell-outs, abandoning the "true art" or something like that?

There's way too many amazing beatboxers with different styles to choose one favorite. It's between D-Low, Gene, Show-Go and Robin who have gotten the most plays by me for sure, but a single favorite? I cannot decide.

That little musical bit before all the battles is a remix of the winning wildcards. It was probably done by Sinjo, he made one for the 2021 kickback battle as well called "Wildback".

Codfish my favorite of all time. D low is the best in the world rn. Ad obvs colaps with his new title is good. But codfish is a fellow Australian. And just the cleanest of all. Still to this day.

  • @markiploo697
    @markiploo697 Před 2 lety

Codfish is my favorite. Because he is the first one i discovered. He has one of the best if not the best throat bass out there. CODFISH GBB CHAMPION 2018, AUSTRALIAN CHAMPION 2017. He might have more titles but that's the only ones i know plus 4th place on GBB 2019. He may not be the most technical beatboxer but his flow and musicality is off the charts. Plus he inspired me to beatbox. So he is my favorite.

  • @samuelfrancogarcia2325

22:05 that That cut is because d-low is going back to battles and in that cut he used some new Beats that he wants to use in future battles, that's why the cut.

Favourite beatboxer of all time is much too hard to pick because there are so many different styles that appeal for so many different reasons.
I'd say my top five (but the order doesn't indicate preference, they all have equal billing in my mind) would be: D-Low, Show-Go, Hiss B-Art
BUT if you were to ask favourite beatbox tracks or routines, there would be pieces by artists other than those I just listed on there, Beatbox is just such a rich and diverse artform that you are almost guaranteed to find something that speaks to you a

I know I'm quite late, but my favourite beatboxer has to be Beardyman. One of his Beatbox Comedy Satire videos from way back in the early 2000's showed me the world of beatboxing from a comedy perspective. Now he's a Loopstation twitch streamer doing streams of his music online.

BUT, hes not my favorite actually! i actually love Stitch. his style is just so satisfying because of the song quality of structure to his routines and his personality is so contagious!
