- Mass Effect Legendary Edition changes are looking impressive in this early access footage provided by BioWare which takes a look at improved Mako controls, a revamped Noveria, and combat changes in the original Mass Effect. Referred to by fans as Mass Effect Remastered, this version of the game will take a look at the extensive changes in the original Mass Effect as well as some subtle changes in Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 3 within the Legendary Edition of the series.

@@CowboyKing yeah, it really was. Low end HD and fairly early HD, but HD nonetheless. Anything above 480i is considered HD, and ME1 was able to be played at a resolution of 720p. But compared to current 4k textures, it looks like poopy.

Can't believe I'm getting excited to replay 3 60+ hour games again after already doing it a dozen times each.
Then proceed to get massively disappointed when you realize you’re fighting marauder shields.
There's no way it should take you 60+ hours to fully complete any of these games unless you enjoy taking in the scenery. It will especially take less time if you have played them before.

@@ps4games164 Well, on that note, if the store in question has very expensive prices for the elite, it's only logical that it does, or at least has to have microtransactions and EA is guilty of that.
Just a helpful hint in case you didn't figure it out in ME1. GET OUT OF THE MAKO TO KILL THE THRESHER MAW. You get like 20x the XP doing it. Just whittle it down to a sliver of health and then finish it off with your squad. In fact, if you get out of the Mako to kill everything you'll level up WAY faster.
EDIT: Looks like this was patched.
Supposedly, Bioware changed that for the legendary Edition. You no longer get way more XP when you exit the mako in combat.
That's actually been fixed. You now get the same XP.

remember when bioware said they would never re-release the mass effect trilogy, then put out two crappy games, and were forced to re-release the mass effect trilogy to make money.

I'm glad to see that there is noticeable differences in this remaster. So many of the remasters and remakes out there only look better when you have the game paused and are really looking for them. This will be my first playthrough of the Mass Effect series on a PC, too. It will be nice to have access to mods for the next few playthroughs.
Native controller support on PC makes me super happy.
True. Need for Speed Hot Pursuit for example, really really not many changes and like you said you have to pause the game to notice diferences. Recent remaster that is also looking great is Rome Total War Remastered, what remaster should be.

Everyone who worked on what most consider Bioware's masterpieces have abandoned ship. Some of them even came back and left again!

Think it has something to do with the fact that each game carries over to the next. More game companies should do this. But hey, they are making a new mass effect, so im hoping that with this remaster, they can improve from their mistakes from me 4 & make a better ME with the trilogy’s continuity

Kinda wish class weapon restrictions were still a thing. Made the classes feel more individual than others based on the skills associated. which is kind of the point.

Seeing ME1 again just reminds me how much better it was than 2 and 3. They really dumbed it down and effectively made it a corridor shooter with light RPG elements. What a shame.

Hasnt been any games Ps4/Xbox One gen that compares in terms of Space/RPGS. Its a great series, you'll love it.
The 3rd is pretty weak in comparison and the ending is agreed to be awful but aside from that it's a fun series.

They didn't really mention the elephant in the room of Mass Effect 3s ending...
According to some other videos I've seen on here the Extended Cut is now the default, and total war assets can depend on your actions through the entire trilogy meaning if you start from ME3 you need to do absolutely everything for something decent.
The change from cool down to thermal clips gets explained in a conversation with Conrad so I’m glad they kept the cool down mechanic for 1 otherwise that dialogue option will be irrelevant

you're going to have alot of fun overall but lower your expectations for the ending
The first two are great but the third... considerably weaker on the story front especially the ending. It's pretty awful. Go in with low expectations for number 3 and you'll be fine.
Legendary Edition still looks like a modified original game, not a remaster. All of it seems more about appraling to fans than really fix the issues the game had.

They don't need to do any damage control because Inquisition was actually decent.

DA:O needs the remaster more than anything. That game had the most potato-ey graphics for its time. The textures were so low res. Still loved it though.
@@GreggyAck Inquisition was filler, it's not a bad game overall but If you remove the power grind how fast would the game be over and in the whole game only one decision matters and that only depends on whether you got the trespasser DLC.
@@GreggyAck DAI was a disappointment. If they can't remaster 2, then at least remaster 1. But also, all he companions in DA2 are interesting imo, way better than the ones in DAI, so they should remake DA2
Oh man can´t wait to get the crew together again only to use only Garrus and Tali non-stop!
The changed camera position really do make the character look better 🤩
