This episode was one of the best of ANY tv series.... dialogue was striking

I was hoping they would bring Kiku more into the story like they did in the book, I do wonder if we are going to get the toy scene though, I seriously doubt it, but I'm also looking forward to the play and I hope we get the tea ceremony in either 6 but no later than 7

I know what happens next, im familiar with the original series, the book & the real history of Tokugawa Ieyasu & William Adams. I just don't want to spoil things for anyone. Most ppl watching haven't read the book.
There are numerous time they have not been even close of the culture of the time. Just like they are barely following the book. Really disappointed.
Unfortunately changes are bound to happen when adapting a 1300 page book in only 10 episodes, it comes down to time constraints. But they've done a good job overall at capturing the essence of the story & characters. And as far as the culture goes, I disagree there, this is by far one of the most accurate depictions of Sengoku Era Japan yet we've ever seen, that's undeniable.

Just because they say they try hard to make this authentic, doesnt mean they succeeded.
They even said that they did go for "art" instead of athenticity for the costumes.
The middleage filter, with everything grey and dark isnt authentic.
The captain of the black ship and gouverneur of Macao running around like a swineherd isnt autentic.
The europeans being alergic to hygiene isnt authentic.
The sniper cannons arent authentic.
The priests wearing black rugs isnt authentic.
ect.
