Imagine just seeing an asteroid coming towards you and all you have to do is either accept it or refuse it
scariest part is that its very possible you really could experience that in your lifetime
Dont Look up....says it all...
how you gonna refuse an asteroid

people like Kobi are so underrated, if it wasn't for him, I wouldn't know half the things about space that I do now

How did you develop such a beautiful editing style? I love it!
Thanks for the kind words! It's a work in progress and I feel like I still have a long way to go! My best advice would be watch lots of videos you enjoy and watch tutorials on CZcams!
@@AstroKobiastro i have a doubt you tolled that if moon is 13000 km away from earth it will be torn apart from its gravity
But why not with asteroid
Because gravitational force is proportional to the m1×m2,
If we multiply the mass of the earth and the moon it will be larger value so force between them will be larger that's why it will torn apart by gravity...
In case of earth and an asteroid the multipled value will be less therefore force between them is weaker that's why it will not torn apart.... Hope you understand 😊
@@nishantsadawarte3886 Your correct!!😅

I love these long videos more than the shorter ones, but the shorter ones have a lot of information
I remember when I was four I watched a video and I was so scared from the space, but now I love the space and how big it is.

bro this guy really is the best scientific youtuber. bro really makes stuff that would bore most people into the most cool stuff on earth. i showed this to my friend who hates science and he loved it
This guy teaches me better than my science teacher.
I seen a small one burn up (break up) over Canberra around 6 months ago at about 4am. Was definitely a sight I will always remember
Seen one when I was in the army. I was at NTC (National Training Center) at Fort Irwin in Southern California. We were in the box providing communication. On a clear warm night, we were talking and looking at the stars and the crystal-clear view of the Milky Way when seen it enter our atmosphere and explode. It was the greatest thing I've seen since the Hale-Bopp comet.
Love your videos ❤
The "asteroid" from 2013 wasn't actually an asteroid though. It was a chondrite meteor (which are just fragments of an asteroid or comet) that was too small to be detected. In the end, most of it burned up in the atmosphere, meaning the majority of the injuries sustained by the locals were from the shattered windows caused by the shockwave of the fireball. It didn't even leave an impact crater. An actual asteroid that is big enough to cause substantial damage would be detected instantly.
So long as it's not coming at us from the direction of the sun.
@@AnjalenaThough soon we could have NEOMIR to help solve that problem
@@AidenC2718 That will help. 🙃☺️
'detected instantly'? Define 'instantly'? You say it as if these objects don't _already exist_ and aren't already moving through space on a trajectory determined by the laws of physics.
You just out schooled the content creator. Nice
Great video!
A couple years back, at my grandparents house, I saw something exactly like that..
Orange tint, bright, light trail, a huge boom when it went out of sight.
I still wonder what is was to this day, I am now wondering if what I saw that night was an asteroid..
This is my worst nightmare and was always afraid of it happening 💀
Yep me to.. ☹️ I don’t even know if my parents basement will save my family from these asteroids
I love how Kobi ended the video on a such a positive note that just helped me release a breath of relief!!💗✨ lots of love to you, keep shining

watching earth get destroyed and studying how it might get destroyed was somehow peaceful and relaxing😏 for me
It's a beautiful thing really. Mankind doesn't deserve to live on thousands of years. We don't know how to take care of our planet or ourselves
AstroKobi you are the best. someone who I look up to and someone who gives me hope for the future. one of if not my absolute favorite channels I know you probably won’t see this comment but I just want to let you know your videos and shorts mean a lot to me. I unfortunately live in a area where light pollution is everywhere but I have always been fascinated by space and your videos have fueled it even more. one day I would like to go out to the countryside and lay on the grass fields looking up into the beautiful night sky, one day I would love to actually go to space and see Earth from there to get that external view of the world.
You deserve this reply man
Damn good video. W ending too thanks for ending it on a good note 😂😂
Pls upload more your one of my faviroute youtubers
How AstroKobi explains stuff: Yeah so we are going to probably die tommorow to an asteroid 100x more powerful then the one that killed the dinosaurs, *but thats okay* we *may* be able to stop it.
This is exactly why we need to colonize the moon and mars, because we could save humanity that way.
Colonize the moon, lol.

i lowkey feel like we'd survive an asteroid that's considered a planet killer, we could do all sorts of random shit that we think of to divert it away from earth or protect ourselves some other way
humanity can do a lot when it has to come together, we're billions of people after all, and a lot of people achieve big things on their own or with small groups, you can imagine what a group of billion+ people can do if their life literally depends on it
May God be with us who believe in God
Yes, may he be with us.

I could listen to you if you were my science teacher. The way you talk and your storytelling is engaging and easy to follow.
It's crazy to think that something from so far away that came from something even farther than that somehow managed to have a direct path to Earth... and it's on its way already... what are the chances of an asteroid that far away to hit Earth? That's how big the universe is and how small Earth is...
At this point humanity deserves to get hit with an asteroid
why?
