  • It is easy to be thankful for the things we see in life-for food, clothing and shelter. But many times, it is harder to be grateful for the things we take for granted-the ability to digest food, to hear, to see and to breathe. It seems only when these normal processes of the body are taken away do we really become thankful for the small things. #lifewithavent #bethankfull #chronicillness
I am thankful and grateful for each and every one of you. I appreciate all the comments and support as I learn how to live my life with a ventilator. May we all find ways to rejoice and be thankful for all the abundant blessings we have in our lives. Happy Thanksgiving!

Listening to this video, You said so much of what I've thought along with you. Sometimes, the ventilator and trach, are so annoying, and frustrating. Sometimes, I wish I did not have to rely on the tracheostomy, and ventilator. But I realize that without these devices, I would not be where I am today. I would be IN THE GRAVE. This ventilator, is why I've performed in two massive concerts. These devices are why I was able to meet all these new friends whom I have met the last two years. These devices are why I just cellebrated my 29th birthday. These devices are WHI I AM HERE. Or rather, THESE DEVICES ARE WHY YOU AND I ARE HERE!!!!! Otherwise, WE BOTH would be dead. BUT WE ARE HERE today, because of this great technology!

Your cantor and absolute gratitude is a testament to what God has done in your life. I too know what it's like to wake up with a tracheostomy and finally getting enough air. I can breathe on my own but I almost died of sleep apnea in 1986 at age 11 due to my bone disease. There was o other treatment then and I too hated that I had to grow up iwht a tracheostomy tube, especially when I was a teenager. But I thank God daily that I can sleep without worrying about apnea, I no longer have to put such stress on my loved ones. Again, I wish to thank you for making your channel and all the videos you upload; may God richly bless you.
