PA student in clinical year here, and this is by far the best explanation of the heart sounds I have had yet! The animation helps so much, and it was explained very well! I will definitely be sharing this with classmates.
Wow thank you 🙏
Ha! Same...I'm in didactic, too and this is by FAR the best, most succinct heart sound explanation video! THANK YOU!
Dealing with an abrupt appearance of arrhythmia (covid or bivalent vacc. correlated) in my own case, I have to wait 2 weeks for a Holter. So all I have to go on is a (low-pass-filtered) acoustic signal recorded with a digital recorder on my chest, lying down.
I can look at the trace in a sound app, but no idea how I'm supposed to interpret it. Of all the videos I've seen so far, this is the most lucid and straightforward. Now I can get a clue what the heck I'm looking at.

Excellent, he explained it within 7 minutes, where my teacher used 3 hours class to do. =_=
😄 glad you found this useful 🙏
You are lucky your teacher used 3hr and probably you understand.
Our lectures used 3min on power point slides, without good understanding.
You should be happy that you where taught properly. Would you want to learn how to do brain surgery in 5 minutes? Bonehead....
I Hope your not a cardiologist or a doctor of any kind.
