Sorry to be a smartarse, but if you feed the awning into it's channel from the front of the 'van it passes around a more gentle curve at the roofline rather than the tight angle it has to pass round when fed from the 'van rear and meets much less resistance.
@@user-vf3yl6oj7h I would have to agree but it depends on the caravan, as the caravan we have/use doesn’t have a secondary point around the curve and it’s a nightmare from the bottom. ☺️

Is it good practice to pull the awning by the sides and not just the rail wire? My awning ripped when I did that. Maybe that’s to do with the material? It’s a Vango Varkalla.
If the fabric is strong enough then there is no reason why you wouldn’t be able to pull it by the fabric but this may change over time as the fabric weakens due to the UV sunlight.
What the exactly circumferential of this awning ? Do you know awning with 1200 circumferential for Adria Adora 753 UC ,thanks !
