Any way that you can reduce how often the blades need to pass over your scalp and the aggressiveness with which they do so will reduce razor burn! This can be achieved by using products like the skinguard razor or some slippery shaving cream. I know this can be a major issue for people just wanting to enjoy a comfortable and clean head shave so I would love to hear your top razor burn reducing suggestions in the comments section below! 🙏

u should do a video on the cheapist way to get the most amount of good quality razors, for example bulk buying sensitive razor heads on a plain through amazon like the monthly subscriptions to gillette pro guard ect, would make an intresting video and help bald guy out there who might be struggeling with money in our current climate to save moeny and be a good intresting video for u too :)

Have sensitive skin.. I found using Gillette skingaurd, in the shower, using a conditioner and shaving with the grain is the perfect combo. Also shaving regularly (every 48 hours or so) makes shaving faster, takes less out of your razor and also reduces irritation as the razor has less work to do over all.
Another pro for the skingaurd that is not mentioned in this video is that the blades very rarely clog up, probably due to the fact that they are well spaced apart, meaning a smoother shave and less rinsing.

    • @willnestor6422
      @willnestor6422 Před 3 lety +1

I shaved my head at the start of UK lockdown.
Fusion was my razor of choice as I wanted a super, super smooth finish, but nics and cuts are the scourge of any traditional razor.
To deal with this, I tried one of those 5 headed (Chinese) electric rotary head shavers from Amazon and quickly returned it to Amazon - utter pants!
In place, I ordered a Panasonic ES-RF31 4 blade electric foil shaver. While designed for the face I've found it to be absolutely fantastic on my head, wet or dry, although wet shaving with it is absolutely exceptional and is easily as close as a blade.
I then also got a Remington RX-5 rotary dedicated head shaver and while it's good, it's absolutely second to the Panasonic for me, whether used wet or dry. I'd expected results to be the opposite way around, but there we are...
Conclusion: (1) electric shaver solves any issues around sensitivity (2) eliminates cuts and nics (3) prevents lumps and bumps and (4) the Panasonic ES-RF31 shaves easily as close as my Fusion blade, no problem at all - no towel drag in the dry-down, just silky smooth skin.
The Remington RX-5, by the way, is now my 'back up' shaver - great, but not Panasonic great. That Panasonic is just utterly outrageous for me, and I no longer use my Fusion at all now.
I have pretty much a full head of hair, with recession at the temples that I've had corrected with SMP, so a skin-close shave is vital for me - as vital avoiding nics and cuts.
Hope that info helps if anyone's looking for potential solutions.
Only thing I'd add is this; always allow a couple of weeks for any electric shaver to get used to your skin and hair - initial performance will always, always improve as that process occurs.

ADVICE FOR THE BEST SENSITIVE SKIN SHAVE BLADE AND CHEAPEST WAY TO BUY THEM >>>>>
the Gilette Skinguard only has 2 blades which means it dules super quick, as someone with literly the most sensitive scalp ever i recommend the guilettee PRO SHELD ( it has more lubercation and 5 blades, i use it with shaving gel not foam and it works the best when i tryed loads whcih were bad for my head sensitivity :)
for anyone who wants to buy these cheapest way is buy a 6 pack on amazon, instead of a 9 pack with handle, these 9 pack work out to almost 3 pond per blade head, where if u buy a few 4 packs they work out to just over 1 quid each, also if u order it on a monthly plain u get more percent off, hope this helps.

Wilkinson sword extreme 3 sensitive is the only razor I will shave my head with. the coverage you get with the flexible blade, it contours the head unlike the the others where the blade stays flat. The only draw back is obviously they're disposable some more plastic and the clear head cover gets lost in the water.

Came here to see if I needed to switch from WS, because their 5 blade hydro range has gone downhill fast over the last yr. The gel pool reservoir conditionerused to sit above the blade very tidily, but is literally non existent on them now, or seems to be used looking/defective/left in damp storage area. That gel pool now last 1 head shave as opposed to at least 4. I've bought from Amazon, local chemists & from WS themselves direct & had this problem every single time. Time to try Gillette again maybe?
