I've shaved my head for over 15 years. All of your advise I've learned out of trial, error and experience. If may add a few secrets, rinse the blade after each stroke, and I use Witch Hazel that is a mild antiseptic and incredibly cheap, then moisturizer. Love my bald brothers!!!😁🦅

Using Witch Hazel right after you shaved is great on your skin. It heals it and will keep the bumps away. After it drys use an aftershave like Nivea or Proraso.

@@donaldallen7344 I haven't found it to burn. It is skin healing for the scalp and will keep bumps away. It is used for head shaves at a high- end barber shop near me. For all it does it is cheap and 1 bottle lasts quite awhile.

BIO OIL SOLVED MY RAZOR BURNS 😀 Hi, I always suffered very badly with razor burns and bumps after every head shave, it left me with a very sensitive sore head. But no longer. Before each head shave, I simply apply Bio oil to the scalp first, and then the shaving cream. It has changed everything for the better, I no longer have any burns, bumps or sensitivity that I used to get. It’s now a pleasure to shave my head and with even better results. 👍🏻

Bro the hair conditioner instead of shaving gel is the real deal. I shaved my head with shaving gel for 4 years and suffered getting irritation 95% of the time but I thought there was no alternative. Then recently I came across a video talking about using hair conditioner and gave it a try. There is no going back to shaving gel or cream. Now I have hardly any irritation at all and what really blew me away was the closeness of the shave which is so clean I actually love touching my head now after shaving because I just cant believe it. If you are suffering definitely give conditioner a go guys it has changed the game for me.

I shaved my head to the skin yesterday for the first time ever, even went against the grain. Just so happens I also have the same razor blades he uses (Gillette Fusion), except I've used the same blade like ten times on my beard before I shaved my head. Before I even watched this video I doused my hands in 90% alcohol and rubbed it all over my head. Then I went over it with some beard cream after the alcohol evaporated. Absolutely no razor burn today and my head is extremely smooth.
Still not used to the new hairdo, but it's not nearly as bad as I thought it was gonna look and I'm glad I dont have sores everywhere.

I sometimes shave my head but I prefer the buzzcut. I think some of the cheap razors are bet than they use to be, I like to use a clipper, electric razor hot towel then apply oil then foam then razor. What I like to add is jojoba oil to skin after a shave, the same oil I use on my beard, bearing in mind this will leave your head with a shine but the benefit to your scalp is worth it.

I can recommend a braun foil razor: I’m much thinner on top than the sides, but it gives me a wet-shave finish on the back and sides, but not quite on the top. I believe it’s the straight-nature of foils, but I simply do a quick 5/6 swipes on top with a wet razor and it’s all then super slick!

Just sharing after a quick scroll through the comments and not seeing it mentioned. Use a DE safety razor to save money in the long run. Ditch the cartridges. Blades are so cheap, literally cents per shave. Nowadays, there's a lot of neutral (or very slightly positve) blade exposure razors that you can use with your eyes closed without nicking yourself provided you skin/scalp is well-lubricated. And speaking of which, use real shaving soap (preferrably a tallow-based one) applied with a shaving brush. The most important part of shaving, even more important than the razor and blades, is the lather/lubrication and the brush will lift the hairs in preparation for the cut. If you're on a budget, get the soap and brush first. Then get a DE safety razor.

Hi guys. I'm a 23 year old black male and I've noticed some balding happening on my head. So I decided to shave every piece of hair off. But unfortunately my head almost got rotten from razor bumbs and I'm still recovering. What can I use to prevent this?

I hope you found a solution my bro. I also experienced razor bumps but used coconut oil as my scalp oil and also make sure the place your sleeping is clean, fresh pillow case. Makes a huge difference over time.

I personally used the Bic Flex 5 they're not quite as pricey as the Gillette and I can use one razor for 30 days and I'm a daily head shaver and the hair on the sides and back of my head is very thick and still very dense and I just keep them dry and clean every shave they work well for me I've never had any head irritation at all and I do shave against the grain also when I'm in a big hurry I shave with an electric razor it's the Braun foil head is a dual foil they are a little pricey about $250 but it's shaved my head almost as close as a blade. Okay so nobody laughs so today I actually tried something that have been recommended to me which was to use a water-based personal lubricant and a shave soap I don't use the stuff in the cans because they all have alcohol in them and it dries my scalp I got the slickest and the smoothest shave that I have ever had if you're into living on The Wildside give it a try he won't be sorry

I just jumped in the shower (first time head shaver), turned on the hot water with some cold so I don't burn and just went at it. Holy shit it's not that easy. I buzzed it all off with just the clipper blade without attachments then jumped in the shower. I put on a gunk of petroleum jelly all over my head after I dried myself up. It worked out okay, I do have some razor burns and small only noticeable hair patches if you're up close, other than that, it all went well.

If you rock a beard and beeing bald, I would recomend you try out almond oil. Best gliding oil for shaves and nice for beard care. Worked best for me.
So, if you have trouble against the grain, try to shave across the grain. Also you can try to give your shave cream/gel/foam or soap a pit more time to soak in. Lather that dome up and brush your teeth and shave then for example.
Instead of Aspirin get a Alum Block or Witch Hazel.

I'm thinking of using witch hazel. How long do you have to leave it on your skin? Should I rinse it off before applying moisturizer?

Just all product placement for a task that is pretty damn straight forward
Apply soap. Apply razor to head. Done.
