Explain the following points: in addition to gps, are there any other standards (glonass) ? Is the system able to transmit data to large AIS vessels or do you need to purchase AIS equipment for this ?
We sell the Iridium GO. Where this product fits for Tracking is when you turn you Iridium GO airtime off and still want to track with PredictWind the DataHub takes over.
Why not just buy an InReach device that allows you to have two way text messages with anyone in the world plus everything else this device shown here can do? After all we know this device will not work without a monthly subscription. Nothing is free.
InReach is a great product, but a rather different device to the DataHub. The DataHub uses your cell data for coastal tracking, so no extra data fees. An inreach does not log and broadcast your NMEA data, broadcast WIFI etc etc.
Product is awesome!

You still need an AIS transponder. The DataHub can collect and transmit all your AIS targets to an AIS aggregator.
So does this work together with an Iridium GO! when offshore?
I had same Question and asked support, answer is no. Bit misleading in promos and they should have this fact on website.
No it does not, will work with Iridium Certus of other high speed sat connections, primary use is cell connections.
How is the data broadcasted to others if I don't have internet?
Satellite
@Sailing With ISHI so I need to buy a satellite transceiver and pay a monthly sub?
The DataHub connects to other Internet sources, Satellite or cell. It saves data offline until you connect.
Is the GPS Bluetooth compatible with IOS devices? And does it cost me an arm and a leg each month? 😀
Yes compatible. No monthly fees:)
No NMEA 0183 support?
Yes it does.
i need that
Iridium go does same thing

@@PredictWind and I have full access to all the saved data via free laptop software for real-time analysis?

Inreach also requires a subscription! It's also not free!
