  • The Upper Horton River is an arctic oasis, flowing deep into the tundra of the Northwest Territories. It is the most northerly flowing mainland river in Canada, and carves its way from just north of Great Bear Lake all the way to the Arctic Ocean. Along the way the landscape varies drastically from boreal taiga to limestone hills to the true barrenlands of the high Arctic. World class wildlife viewing and amazing fishing await those intrepid enough to paddle through this wild landscape that the Inuvialuit people have lived on since time immemorial. Float along on crystal clear water past ancient cliffs, watch eagles soar overhead, and watch the caribou roam the land on this epic adventure!
