Keele River, Northwest Territories, Canada
I had a good friend who was a member of the Canadian military stationed out of Yellowknife at Northern Region Headquarters. In the early 1970's he and his wife went on a canoe trip down the Coppermine. We're not sure what happened but both of them went over Bloody Falls and drowned. I can't remember if their bodies were recovered, but I do remember the S&R people found the battered canoe and camping gear. Very sad.
Is that angles and editing or is it rowdier than I remember? It's worth paddling down the MacKenzie to Norman wells and stopping at Tulita along the way.
Beautiful place

Such beautiful country
Good to see Al in his environment
Nice adventure , and very kind to bring your pet with you . Beautiful country .
this is the definition of 'conflict of interest'. Why? Because , having travelled the CANOL and the Mackenzie/Selwyn Chains for years , you really want people to see this unparalleled territory ( and this video more than does justice in that regard ) , BUT , the very last thing the region needs is masses of unprepared tourists chewing the trails up with ATVs and weinerschitzel wrappers. ( then again , some rich and tenderised Euro-hiker flesh would keep the bear population thriving up there ! )
+Peter Ion It's always a tough balance. You want the local economy to do well and for people to see the beautiful sites, but you also don't want floods of tourists ruining the place. I remember always going to Costa Rica as a kid in the late 80s, and it was untouched, pristine, and quiet. Since then, expats have moved there and American tourists come in in droves. It has taken away something from the place.
Oh wow ! What a lovely adventure.Beautiful mountains and majestic rivers.Love the video.
What is the name of that music at the end of the video?
Beautiful video! Bucket list trip!
Gratulation! It's a best!
White people are very adventurous
Canada should preserve these beautiful lands from everyone, especially the greedy corporations.
Our country has done a great job at doing so. The territories are not really threatened, however.
Alex Fournier because nobody is willing to bear the atrocious winters up there.
What's your point?
the people that go on these trips are rich and well off.

A beautiful scenery at the beginning of the video, it's not an everyday site to see for many. Thanks for sharing this wonderful video.

I live right by them me and my family are great friends with cano north and we live in Norman wells and it is amazing and if you do live in north it is amazing
+Sommer Wiley I wonder the Canadian people if Canada is heaven that Brazilians speak? there are tens of thousands of Brazilian immigrants who immigrate to Canada in search of a better life, always say the same things, there is violence, there is employment for all, earn a lot of money even as a nanny or cleaner, people are kind and friendly, the government assists in 100% citizens and immigrants ... well .... are so many good things that Brazilians speak immigrants from Canada, it seems that they are being paid to advertise! PLEASE SOME CANADIAN COULD SPEAK THE TRUTH ON HOW IS LIFE IN CANADA? IMMIGRANTS SPEAK THE TRUTH OR They are living an illusion?
+Wallace Lobo Most of us are tax slaves that live in overcrowded cities. Utopian landscapes are reserved for our wealthy elite.
+Wallace Lobo ?
+Sommer Wiley I believe people like you live a healthier life by living in this wonderful place. Peaceful and amazing 1in a million if I'm correct.
