Master Sol spent the first part of that fight scene literally with one hand behind his back. He's so damn good and so interesting to watch! I'm so glad Mr. Lee Jung-jae decided to go through with it. I understand he had some reservations about performing in English, but once he read the script he decided to take the project. YAY!! I love his character, I love the depth he's bringing to the role, and watching him in the fight scenes is *chef's kiss*

There are only two Sith living in this time and they aren’t human, so he’s not a master Sith, he may not even be Sith yet, he doesn’t have the eyes, that’s not a choose thing, you commit and you become a Sith Lord once you cross that line. Dooku never committed to the Sith, no yellow eyes. What he did, he did because he thought the Jedi had become corrupt and he saw the empire as a way to sustain order and justice in the galaxy. yes, unfortunately, there are some reacters (who shall remain unnamed) who i normally respect but i can't watch their negativity concerning this show. their purist vision of star wars centered on george lucas's stated aims has led them down the sith-like path of absolutes. while bad writing/directing/acting does exist and can be criticized, demanding that everything be vader and lightsabers is closed-minded. there is room for all in the star wars universe and even filoni gave this show his approval. the acolyte's not going to blow anybody away but it doesn't claim to be anything ground-breaking. just explores another corner of the galaxy far far away.

It's pretty much a bad show. Has nothing to do with the Star Wars of it.
A murder mystery sounded fun... until we find out in the first episode who the murderer is.... as do the Jedi.
The chase of the innocent twin sounded fun... until they catch her at the end of Episode 1.
The Jedi guy said... it can't be Mae... I saw her die... 5 minutes later... Mae is alive... I believe you.
The green lady lets Sol take Oshi to catch her sister... but after they lose her they have to go back and meet with the council instead of staying to try to find her?
I can go on if you want.
I don't necessarily hate the show... but they have a LOT of work to do to make this thing good. They have 4 episodes to do it.

They aren’t just twins, the rhyme they said means they are dyads, their souls are joined. For them each to think the other dead means someone is blocking their link on purpose and May only has to kill one Jedi without a weapon to complete her trial, it’s stated on the show inside the trader store. She knew who were the most powerful jedi she would face and who she was going to be able to not use a weapon and hopefully survive. It’s why she goaded the first one into not using her saber and why she keeps reaching for theirs. She can only return with the sabers of Jedi she killed without using a weapon and she has a better chance of doing that if they are unarmed too. This all seems like the Jedi who is using her has set her up to be killed, she is facing formidable Jedi and she is clearly at their levels, they are master Jedi. There is no Sith Lord that we’ve seen yet. There are two Sith alive during this period and they are both alien and they both have the hugest heads, neither one of them is who we have seen in the helmet in this. I’m thinking it’s a Jedi we have seen…their face anyway. How does poison take out a Jedi who has meditated for ten years who can create an impenetrable shield around himself, he can’t stop poison from mixing into his blood stream? He’s in the trailer and his eyes turned black when he was younger, what happened there and if the dark side takes hold of you that young, how’d he shake that off? He knew May was alive do why was he waiting ten years to kill himself, why didn’t he go find her and make things right? There is something with him, Indara and we will see about the Wookie. I definitely think Indara was dirty, she’s hanging out in a bar with thugs, doesn’t feel very Jedi, she went for her saber and they don’t pull sabers unless it’s life on the line necessary and she was handling May. She recognized her, she knew it was May and not her twin, maybe even knew what the plan was with her but had a moment of wait why are you here, you are supposed to be killing the good Jedi not me, it felt like a set up to me. These Jedi have been sent to buttholes of the universe and I think they are pissed at the order becoming political and lazy, the same way Dooku did. The guy posing as the trader is trained, he may have trained with May or before May but he had the skill to stop her and he knew the Sith edict that peace is a lie, he’s more than he is portraying himself to be,possibly even the Jedi in the mask playing possum to manipulate this entire fiasco from the side lines, I’m enjoying this show do far.

10:42 Why do so many reactors forget that these Jedis are investigators collecting information? What does a flashing red light mean in our world when a person is holding a mechanical device close to their eyes/face? Recording! Come on Jay.
10:48 Just like a smartphone that can zoom in on the target in an image, Yord's camera does the same while continuing to record Sol and Mae's confrontation.
12:14 Osha was clearly conflicted with what needed to be done and what she wanted for her sister. And Vernestra's video chat with Sol confirms that Osha intentionally missed Mae.
12:24 Thank you Jay! Adam, she just found out her twin was alive via Force Vision/Connection and she just got visual confirmation--they both did. Mae didn't want to kill Osha right then and there, so why would Mae. Yes, I went to the extreme with my language, but this is true for capture. They were both glad/shocked to see that the other was alive. You are also forgetting that we don't know the full story behind their home world. What they both thought was true, was just revealed to be a lie. Would you support a group that told you your sister was dead when you just saw her alive? You'd probably have some serious questions, and you'd probably question their reasoning for bringing her in. You might sense that a cover-up was in the works, even if just for a moment. Osha's reaction was reasonable, and likely why Sol was disappointed but understanding with what just happened--he still trusts Osha, despite what just happened.

As such, the Rule of Two states that there must always be a Master and an Apprentice, "one to embody the power and one to crave it".Eventually, the Apprentice is expected to kill the Master and take their place, while also finding their own apprentice. However, this implies that if the Apprentice kills the Master, there will be only one Sith for a time until they find someone to train, a dangerous prospect in the interim for the Sith Lords' survival. However, The Acolyte is now helping establish the canonical idea that an Acolye (such as Mae) is recruited by an Apprentice first before moving against the Master.

So Yeah, about the no weapon kill; I believe that the "master" of Mae is the sith apprentice. and Mae as the acolyte is to become the next apprentice when the current apprentice takes the place of the master. to prove her worth, Mae has been tasked to kill a jedi without using weapons, and only then prove herself worthy to wield a lightsaber, probably the one she does take from the jedi she kills. We've seen her twice reach for he opponents lightsaber.

Pretty sure Master Sol will turn out to be the one who did the most reprehensible thing in the Brendok incident. Somehow, when he mentioned that Mae kept thinking about her twin sister after mind probing her reminds me of the Emperor saying the same thing when confronting Luke. And his facial expressions at certain scenes seems a bit sus, like trying to really hide something.
And I would not be surprised if the Sith turns out to be someone who participated in the Brendok incident too. Could even be Master Torbin faking his own death with the help of his apprentice Qimir.

Midichlorians are... Confusing. But George Lucas made it that way.
Essentially, Midichlorians are the Star Wars version of Mitochondria. The higher count you have, the more demanding feats of the force you are able to do. Similarly, the more Mitochondria you have, the more physically demanding feats you are able to do. Mitochondria and Midichlorians do pass down through DNA, as they exist in our cells. But in the case of Mitochondria, it's not strictly genetic, as we can both lose and gain them. Not sure if the same is true of Midichlorians.
That said, in Star Wars the Midichlorians are definitely fantastical compared to Mitochondria. Someone with a lot of Midichlorians is basically just naturally talented. But you can have someone with comparatively little Midichlorians who has trained enough to be able to accomplish the same feats with the same effort. It just took them longer to get to that point.
The same is technically true in real life, but it's usually in stress situations where our bodies are suddenly able to accomplish feats of strength they couldn't otherwise do. Typically if you train for something in real life, your Mitochondria levels also increase.
Edit: But I'm also not an expert on biology, so I could be wrong on several fronts.

I think in the ~900 years since (what they believe to be) the end of the sith, the jedi have gone from the guardians of peace and justice in the galaxy to Team Jedi Galaxy Police. They're cops and a lot of people really don't like them but you can't really do anything about them. It seems they've also been gatekeeping learning the ways of the force in an effort to keep unknown force users exploring the dark side and basically rediscovering the ways of the sith or even worse. These 4 jedi Mae is after did something drastic to that end, and once it comes to light, the Republic will have a who watches the watchmen situation on their hands. New regulations will be put in place, more checks and balances, that will lead, (among other things) over the next 100 years, to the Jedi basically being the lapdogs of a corrupt senate.
