I think your interpretation of the phone room was quite good. I have watched this hundreds of times and never noticed the empty frames. It really could represent our phone culture and how we don't really build memories with people (That we want to frame).
there will be a remake of the BTS universe as a tv serie in korea, it is made by BTS label themself so it is the true story.
it will air sometime this year. and it will have the fifth highest budget for a korean drama. and that is a lot. if you have seen any already you will know how amazing their dramas and movies are.
So when it air we will finally get the true story. i can´t wait to see how much of it was right from what army put togehter over the years.
bts memebers will not be playing the roles but the actors will have their names so we know who is who. i have already watched a teasr for it,
Hi! Okay I see a few people have mentioned this already but I hope this will make it extra clear: BTS mvs sometimes follow a fictional storyline we know as the Bangtan Universe (BU). They started with the mv for I Need U, and a bunch of subsequent mvs such as this one are part of the BU, including a few you might soon get to (like Blood, Sweat & Tears ; I Need U ; Run ; Euphoria just to name a few). In the BU, each character has the same name as BTS (though not their stage name), but it doesn't have any correlation with their real lives. I would say that it is a bit too early for you to get into the BU as it can be very overwhelming. That being said, each mv can be appreciated on its own and for its separate meaning. xCeleste has a bunch of theory videos which are great, but beware that they're basically all related to the BU. I think you did a good job understanding the meaning of the song without knowing the storyline it follows. Enjoy your journey, and go at your own pace!

I always thought of the "straight jacket" as bondage wear since it fits symbolically in with the theme of the song.
The phones on the wall- if you pause and blow them up, they all say "Save Me"- cries for help going unanswered.

I always thought of him going into the waterfall as going into himself to find that he is cloaked and masked- his real or possibly shadow self.
BTS Universe is not real- it's a story.

But it was a great reaction, if you want to try, check the video where it all started.
The 'I need U' MV and their 'RUN' MV... You won't believe the parallel and the connection between these MV's.
After those two MV's go to the prologue and epilogue then the wings short films.
Interestingly, you could definitely love BTS not knowing their alternate universe. But you could also love BTS only knowing the storyline.
BTS is still a mystery to me.
You could also love them:
Just by their personalities.
Just by talent in performance.
Just by their music and lyrics.
Just by their courage in their message and social commentary.
The more I get into BTS, they keep surprising me everytime like I didn't know I could appreciate them even more than I could but they keep proving me wrong.
I actually avoided them before, I thought they were just overhyped and overrated because of their looks but all my pre conceived notions were always wrong.

Cause that was literally me when I became ARMY many years ago.
But your interpretation was quite good.
Bangtan Universe (BU) is a fictional storyline that runs through their MVs and albums.
You can even read this storyline from their webtoons and books.
Explanation videos can help us understand better.
But there is no right and wrong with any interpretation.
I would love to see your own interpretation of the BU since you are one of the few rare reactors trying to understand the lyrics and meanings of the MVs.
I'm sure your sister can help you with which MVs to watch.
BU is a very deep rabbit hole.

@@laksaplays137 well, it's quite confusing at first if you're new to BTS since you can't tell what's real or what's fake, or what's happening if you don't have an ARMY to guide you to your rabbit hole journey
But anyways, although the BU (BTS Universe) is fictional it's not quite far from reality since Fake Love does apply to them
Fake Love doesn't need to be romantic, cause it can be about fake love about friendship or their relationship with their fans or just fake love with themselves
@@laksaplays137 BTS isn't like any other artist where you can just randomly select a song or MV.
BTS music is quite complicated in a way since most of their songs are interconnected and it has some sort of lore, so it's quite important to know the timeline so that you won't be confused.
BTS has lots of albums, including their Japanese and solo albums. But you only need to understand BTS common ERA's in their album.
BTS first 3 albums are called School Trilogy,
(About the school system and struggles of students)
followed by Dark and Wild Era (about young puppy love most teenagers experience)
then HYYH Era also known as (The Most Beautiful Moments in Life)
HYYH Era (2015) is where the BU or BTS Universe Storyline started (The album is all about life as a youth)
After HYYH is WINGS Era (2016) which is were BTS started to became famous
(Wings is an album facing the struggles as a youth including temptation and loss of innocence)
The ending song in Wings is RM 'Reflection' were it says in the lyrics that he wish he can love himself
Afterwards BTS created 3 albums which we call Love Yourself Era
(As the album title, it's about a guide how to love yourself)
Of course this albums is still connected with Wings and HYYH

'Fake Love is of course in Love Yourself Era because it's part of the journey of loving yourself'

The reason why they created this album is because of the last song of the last album in Love Yourself
Which is Jin's song called Epiphany, were he realizes the one he should love is himself
In the MV it says one must find the Map of the Soul to find the answer
My point is, their albums are connected one way or another
Map of the Soul Era about human psychology like one's persona, ego, shadow, etc. and their artistry in music.
The purpose of this album is knowing yourself.
The next album BTS created is called BE and it has nothing to do with their previous works since this is were the pandemic started, so they just created an album about what they felt during Pandemic.

Most ARMY'S are either from Wings Era and Love Yourself Era since this is were BTS blew up globally.
But of course there are also Vintage ARMY's or Veteran ARMY were they have been a fan of BTS since they were still starting.
I'm a BE ARMY which means I'm a 1 year old fan because I started knowing them just this pandemic.
You on the other hand is called Hiatus ARMY since you found BTS when they are already in hiatus.

OMG. I wouldn't get into the BU just yet. It is WAY overwhelming. I am always in AWE when someone tries to piece it together into these explanations. Even the super long ones and I am sure I don't fully comprehend it. Good luck. Still Their music and videos are all still masterpieces with enough layers on their own! Thank goodness! LOL.

The only real person in the video is Jin, all the rest are his masks or part of his past. Water is a sign of transformation and Jimin always is seen with water. Jk represents the persona mask, the innocence and is represented by the flower jin is protecting, that's why jk can move when the flower is destroyed, this is jin not protecting that part of himself anymore. V always represents the shadow arquetype, as can be seen in blood sweet and tears, on, etc. Is the dark part of Jin. I can go on but don't want to write anymore now
Save Me turned around on the wall says I'm Fine... both titles of 2 songs on the album
if you freezeframe the blinking cell phones in the hallway you will see some say Save Me and some have the save me inverted to say I'm Fine.
just to clarify for you: the storyline is a fictive. for example: Jhope's mother didnt abonded him. this is from the bangtan universe BU, which is helping us to understand better their songs.

im highly recommend you to watch "Spring Day MV" and the explanation . this song has a very special place in everyone's heart (especially korean ARMY) . its a tribute song they made for the students who lost their lives in sewol ferry tragedy :'))

Thanks for your reaction. Just fyi, there is no CGI in this video, it's all practical. Suga is one with fire, you see him around fire alot. Saw you say you want to get to know their personalities. I suggest watching their BTS Run series that are on CZcams now, there are 155 of them with newer ones aren't numbered. Also Rise of Bangtan series has some history and young BTS. Video I think you should check out are Run and I Need You maybe Save Me. Spine Breaker is fun also, they made the video themselves in their hotel.💜💜💜

Hi! Just a suggestion: don't watch explanations? These are biased/not official, but you'll end up taking them as true instead of giving it your own meaning or piecing together the meaning at some point. Nothin against Celeste but... :| I don't really like the lack of disclaimers about this. (aka saying "THIS IS WHAT I THINK" every step of the way, like the title of her video... argh).
I grew up loving fantasy and scifi and mystery movies, so maybe I am biased to say it's not that "difficult", but still. I would suggest you better watch some videos on the editing (like Jordan Orme does), you'll take real (or as real as he can guess how they did it) info about the MV. Plus, it's completely normal not "getting it" the first watch, especially without reference.
Again, nothing bad about it, but just a suggestion for yourself, instead of taking everything passively and "having to" agree with it, take your own conclusion. There is no wrong or right until you read the webtoon (you can do on your own in a couple of weeks ;))

I think her explanations r beautiful n. Why does she have to say I think when the notes 1&2 provide most of the answers? When she's unsure she says it. Of course this type of storyline is made for you to come to your own conclusions and grow. There's nothing saying you can't do that as a team. I sense a little narcissism. Btw, notes 1&2 r out of stock so good luck with getting the whole picture if you try that way.
However, as other Armys suggest, when your ready to dive down, you can make your own conclusions. Avoid watching BU songs. They are in the description bu content. If you do watch them, avoid explanation videos. 💜 Maybe when done with the storyline, you might understand more the explanations xceleste provides. With BU content, their behind the scenes, concert footages etc all matter cuz some scenes r from behind the scenes or concert footage as well.
@@minitwink16 Exactly, as a team. She has been feeding what she thinks and any new army will follow like sheep, that's not teamwork imho.
And people can dive deep whenever they feel ready (the behind the scenes, the books) and if they feel interested. I'm very interested in stories and that, but other people like the artistic side of the MVs and don't really care for what the linking story is.
I do think her "explanation" videos are not necessary in the fandom and they seem exactly narcissistic to me, and a bit of "dumbsplaining" (I don't know if there's a term for that, like when a man "explains" things to a woman, bc he considers she won't know/she won't be able to know).
Summaries, korean culture background of lyrics, etc are good videos to provide.
Where are the subtitles?
Eventhough the explanation video refers to fiction, not reality, and you may feel "silly/bad" for not getting that, I want to commend your empathy and compassion that you showed.
