"This sound" is the pumice (lava rock albeit 'soft') scraping away not only the hard water ring but after doing that a few times, you have scratching the glazed surface of the porcelain, then you are going to have the hard water ring embed into the now unglazed scratches in the porcelain, and bring unremovable stains. Been there done that, ended up buying a new toilet, after using a pumice stick a few times.

DON'T DO THIS! I did this before using the pumice stone shown in the video. Yeah, it got rid of the stain but also scratched the porcelain really bad. Then when the bowl had no porcelain to protect its surface within a week or two the ring was back but now had seeped down into the porcelain surface and is now impossible to get out.

Use the Inside of a banana peal with a couple small dabs of Honey. The Ring scrubs off in about 5 minutes, no matter how gritty the calcium build up.

I have a Toto toilet with a glaze. Our cleaning lady used pumice and it removed the glaze, so I can't get the lime ring at all now. So, if you have a glaze, it will be removed as well.

    I do this:
Scrub the stain away with a Clorox disposable scrubber.
Run all the water out by flushing
    Spray with Lysol and Clorox
    Bang.
If I see a spot, Flush way down. Apply Lysol/Clorox. It goes away.
Once a week, the Clorox disposable scrubber keeps it in check.
I can't see not cleaning my toilet for TWO WEEKS. C'mon!

After doing that -drain the toilet and wax with a windshield sealant the ring area. It will prevent the buildup from coming back and adhering to the small scratches caused by the pumice.

Technically, toilet are entirely made of clay, allowed to dry and harden up after some TLC out of the mold. But this is "Virtuous" China, not porcelain so it will have tiny scratches if sanded with 5,000 grit sandpaper. I can't believe what I am hearing or seeing. I think the average plumber would place into a headlock then body slam you!
It might work great if you painted your car and had a run in the clear coat. Maybe the plumber is off screen with a new replacement just putting a new wax seal. But here to, no longer a wax just a petroleum based product with a colorant to appear wax like.
    I can do that...
