In this C4D tut I'll show you a technique where you can actually loop a dynamic simulation. It's using the mograph cache tag which is super useful. Huge shoutout to Alessandro Boncio for his help!

please keep making more videos, they are so helpful for students / self-learners. it's not so common to find well made tutorials on native c4d / redshift without octane or other expensive plugins. thank u so much!!
Awesome trick Joren, I never knew about this one! Thanks!
So awesome tutorial! Thank you!!
Great tutorial! Thank you very much for this!
Brilliant! Worked like a charm! Cheers mate!
Great work!!
Very cool! Thanks for sharing
I like these kind of tutorials
Thank you very much
Awesome tip mate
Damn, thanks super dope !
cool approach, still love that yellowish-tinted render! Love the render!
woah thank you soooo much
Great tut, thanks! Suppose I have a hair object that is affected by turbulence. Is there any way to make hair dynamics looping animation?
Great effect and explanation! But I have a problem, when simulating the spheres end up going to the sides and fall to the ground instead of falling into the helix, how can I solve this?
RenderKing should have asked me about this scene and I would definitely give my scene and setup for free as i usually do! Anyway, to have more control on the simulation I baked the whole sim so i could manually adjust the movment of the balls on the timeline playing with curves!
Hey mate, did you make a scene like this? I haven't seen it, shoot me a link I would love to see. Thanks!
Any tips to prevent clipping?
Great tip, but doesn't seem to work with the new cloth engine based soft body
Noob question - how did you extrude the helix to be 3dimensional instead of just flat ( like mine ^^ )
I forget, but I'm pretty sure we used a loft object...
@@thepixellab2011 I ended up with putting a square spline and the helix into a sweep nurb ;)
Hi bro, what rendering settings did you use?
My largest sphere just wants to roll off the side, followed by the second largest.
Make two planes and position them on the front and back of the helix face as blockers. Put collision tags on them. Then hide them so they are invisible in render/viewport but they are still affecting the dynamics and the balls will be held by them so they don't fall off the sides. A little invisible trick :)
@@thepixellab2011 Ah, you got me!!!
wish you wouldve started from scratch
The explanation is too fast and I can't understand the work orders
there are a lot of things you dont explain in the video too bad i couldnt follow
