Pillaiyar Kathai: Stories about Lord Ganesha

Vinayaka Viradham is a 21 day annual observance of intense prayers to Lord Ganesha. During this series of daily ceremonies, Pillaiyar Kathai (stories related to Lord Ganesha) are recited each day and special poojas are conducted at the Temple. During this period of abstinence many devotees attend the temple every day and also fast, as part of their prayers and devotion to Lord Ganesha.
