@@jabob1588 The funny thing is, when it comes to the Venn diagram of these communities, I think I might be the narrowest sliver of all. I know of The Yard because of Ludwig, who I know of because I've been watching Hasan since he was around 500-1000 viewers, and then that intersects with all of the various communities Hasan's connected to (from OTK to OTV and all of THEIR branching communities like Peter and Leslie and the entire Southeast Asian supercommunity), and I've known of Dimension 20 for a year or two now, which also intersects with Critical Role and the other big TTRPG/"actual play" communities. So that's Lud, Hasan, D20, OTV, OTK, CR, and about a dozen other communities.
And somehow THIS is the weirdest intersection I've seen. I never once would have thought The Yard would have anyone from the TTRPG section of the internet on.

Watching the boys begin to realize how much of an entertainment juggernaut Critical Role is was really fascinating. When the Twitch revenue got leaked people didn't talk much about how CR was number 1, and there was very good reason for it

Critters will look at CR and just throw money at them.
And dude, the Twitch revenue is the smallest part of that empire. Like someone else just said here, their fanbase shoots money at them through a t-shirt cannon. They split that revenue AT LEAST seven ways (8-9 considering the crew to be a partner of sorts) and they're still GUARANTEED to all be millionaires at this point JUST from CR, and that's not counting their very, VERY successful voice acting careers. I mean holy shit, look up any of the seven cast members and you'll see something you probably know, but some of them (like Matt, Laura, and Travis) are actual juggernauts.
@@T0NI_ The only thing even said about CR during all that I can remember was xQc saying, "Hey, look! It's number 1!" as Matt and someone else from the group were on a red carpet for something. I guess due to them being kinda insulated from the rest of the whole Twitch ecosystem of creators made them seem less relevant. When you're Mizkif, for example, it's easier to shit talk Hasan's income or place on the list when they're a person you know and speak to regularly, rather than seven extremely polite and entertaining people you've never met. Not only is it much easier to mock and joke about your friends it's also more likely that your friend already said something about you and that gives you permission to return fire.

Zac calling Mr. Bean a formative influence for him, can definitely be seen in a lot of the stuff he's done on Game Changer and Dimension 20. Always glad to watch a video that features him.

Zac's physical comedy bits and object work are some of my favorite parts of Dropout, it was cool to hear him talk about a formative inspiration being Mr. Bean!

Guest episodes without Ludwig like this are wild because it feels like he is a balancing force to Slime's chaos/complete lack of knowledge of the guest. Felt like Zac was fed to the wolves when he started reading that story and no one was willing to let him stop

Wait...make the campaign with Lud, CDawg, Hasan, Ironmouse, Will Neff, and QT. It's a superweird group but they're all connected through at least one or two points (even Mouse is connected through Ludwig tangentially, and Connor's like her best friend in the world). They all have such different energy that it would be incredible. The only problem would be getting Hasan off of his phone for more than two hours at a time.

I consider everyone but the DM's part to be "small bites" (meant to say bites originally). Like if you boiled every player's screentime down each episode it would be a fraction, albeit important

Huge fan of Zac Oyama from back in the college humor days and have only grown to appreciate and respect him. He is a staple on Dimension20, Game Changer, and Make Some Noise which are all phenomenal.
I also from time to time enjoy the yard and its hosts.
For my demo this is a perfect overlap- the Yard/Ludwig Extended Universe and Dropout are side-by-side, head and shoulders above any other content I consume. There is absolutely a lot in common. Both are silly-funny (not mean, not too cool) not clout chasing, genuinely connected and loving of each other, people-first, indie in a way, etc. Lud talked about making Mogul Moves a worker's coop, and Brennan Lee Mulligan could talk with him about that for as long as Ludwig wants. Their content is for people who want to be secure and kind and not take themselves seriously and be silly and have fun while being very committed to the integrity and quality of what they create.
