How very sad that this level of talent and class has vanished in popular music today. Dinah Shore was the shining example of class, talent and style. These two artists are singing live with a full orchestra. I'd like to see any of "entertainers" today do that. Proof that Giants walked the earth in those days. Frank and Dinah, you are missed!
She is one human being who was pure truth.........fab singer, no gossip, no crap. She and Ella were amazing...........her personal life was private. a true dame......
One of the best medleys! Just love their chemistry, like they were the best of friends. Not to mention their voices together! Wow. I was born at the wrong time.
Had a huge smile on my face all the way through watching this, they were both having so much fun! Frank looks so cool here, smokin his cigarette, reminds me of my dad!
I heard Nancy Sinatra say once in an interview that Francis Albert and Dinah almost had a "brother-sister" thing between them, and that he could relax in her company in a way that he rarely could with anyone else... It sure looks that way, here. (How can anybody smoke and sing at the same time and sound that good?)
Sinatra is so casual here-when he smiles he looks like he did back in the 40's. Beautiful. You can tell that there's real affection between the two of them.
Frank is supreme. But lets not forget Dinah, too! Her laughter. Her interaction with Frank. Her rendition of "Daddy." It is pretty easy to fall for her too!!! What a doll. (thanks for posting this. It is truly a favorite.)
They don't make em' like this anymore. The professionalism is amazing. Sorry if name icon comes up 2x. Computer error. LOVED this. What talent and charm.....
This gem of a video is on my fav list. I've watched it many times. Two GREATS at their peaks. Sinatra's very efficient breath control is on display here. He learned the technique early on. He's always ready for the next phrase with a full load of oxygen. It makes such a difference. He was a master. I miss both of them.
Every year or so I feel impelled to come back and watch this fantastic medley again, and each and every time I find that it has gotten better than I remembered it being. How is that possible?!
ADORABLE TWOSOME DINAH SHORE WAS DROP DEAD GORGEOUS AND HER AND FRANK SINATRA WERE HAVING WAY TOO MUCH FUN!! I LOVED THE ENDING WHEN FRANK GAVE DINAH SHORE A PECK ON THE CHEEK RIP BOTH OF YOU.
The class and style of this generation, especially the performers, was incredible. Frank Sinatra, Dina Shore, Dean Martin, Bing Crosby, Louis Armstrong, Peggy Lee, Lena Horne and so on. All so amazing. Makes me wish I had been born a century ago.
I don't think you could ask for better than this, Two great talents having a great time singing together. The affection is apparent and it's beautiful.
Two angels were reported missing around this time--I think we found them. Their voices their looks their charm. They are heavenly, well-mannered, and regal. Where have we gone?
Several viewers have commented that Sinatra was at the peak of his vocal abilities when this medley was filmed presumably in 1959/60. The songs performed by Sinatra demonstrate how his style that evolved during the Capitol years from 53 to 61, revolutionized American popular singing. There were several outstanding singers who were contemporaries of Sinatra during this period: Tony Bennett, Mel Torme, Vic Damone, Bobby Darin and Nat King Cole, but no one interpreted lyrics or sustained a melodic line like Sinatra.
Maybe so...but as others have remarked he lost something. What was it? Possibly the tenor-acolyte praising "the untouchable duo of Kern and Hammerstein" like he did at Walton High School in '42.
Listen to Sinatra from his days with Tommy Dorsey and listen to him in this recording and you can hear how his vocal timbre changed. From cigarette smoking? Probably. Age as well. But he is still a master troubadour.
Rather than comparing Frank and Dinah to current performers, I would say regardless of the period you prefer it is a pleasure watching performers who show how much they really love not only what, but who they are performing with.
This medley actually runs over 7 minutes. I would love to see the original duet on Dinah's 1958 Chevy Show. I don't understand why this medley runs 4:33
Franks at his peak..I'm thinking this is early 60's after he left Capitol Records to start his own Reprise label. Dinah had her variety show and was still sounding amazing! This is priceless for those who love standards and the American songbook!
Two of the best---Sinatra, the best singer ever, and Dinah, singer and one of the best female entertainers. Both were the epitome of class. Thanks for this priceless video.
This here clip of the two of them is show business magic. How delightful they are together. No doubt Frank & Dinah felt comfy in each other's presence. I favorited this vid and come here often for another view. Both at their best.
The greats who started it all. Too bad those times couldn't go on forever. Still hard to believe they're gone. Frank & Dinah, I miss their artistry every day. Instead, now it's JayZ instead of Frank & Beyonce instead of Dinah. THEY'RE gonna follow these giants? Of course they can't which is why I only watch the news now. After seeing real entertainment like this everyone else today is only in their shadow.
@bluekarma This duet is from the TV special "Some of Manie's Friends " which was originally aired in March 1959. The special celebrated the life of Emanuel "Manie" Sacks a Columbia Records recording executive and vice president of both NBC (National Broadcasting Company) and RCA (Radio Corporation of America). Mr. Sacks died of leukemia in 1958.
Dinah Shore was an amazing woman. Just one of her many feats was to host a daytime talk show for almost 30 years! Despite being cancelled many times, she constantly and consistently picked up and started again. This female host persevered in a world full of men controlling the networks!!!
It`s the fith time I add this movie to my favorites. And I`ll keep doing it as many times as they delete it and it keeps being put back up by fans like us. Thank you!!!
WOW This music is amazing. The melody the band. I must be getting older. Just beautiful! I see many people that are hungry for expression and emotion from singers and actors without stupidity, hype and dare I say it....satire. We want the clean, God fearing wholesome shows like Highway to Heaven back in the day, and the Walton's. And maybe just a good old country singing with someone playing the guitar.
The world doesn't produce artists like these anymore. They both were sensational
Hi,how are you doing?
True

Happens literally every day.
He can sing, smile, act, flirt, smoke, look cool and even do some dancing in 4:33 secs... everything so naturally.
He's the quintuple threat!
Can't take my eyes off of Dinah. Impeccable timing.
I know right!
He had a life we would all like to have. He had it made.
@@munkd we both have great taste she was a lovely lady.
No auto tune. No backup singers. No words all mushed together. Just class
Aint it the truth!!
And a cigarette.
The best of the best!!! Both❤

God how I miss charm, talent, chemistry and personality in celebs! Thank God, we have this on tape.Imagine if we didn't!!
One of the best medleys! Just love their chemistry, like they were the best of friends. Not to mention their voices together! Wow. I was born at the wrong time.
Perfection! Frank Sinatra such coolness, charm, funny, handsome and what a voice! !!! There will never be another one like him!
J
You have a severe case of prejudice.
Frank was so immensely talented, charming, and funny! What a guy!
Dinah melts my heart. And Frank ain't half bad either.
This is one of the most beautiful medleys I've ever seen
Dinah is such a sweetheart and Frank's the coolest
Had a huge smile on my face all the way through watching this, they were both having so much fun! Frank looks so cool here, smokin his cigarette, reminds me of my dad!
I heard Nancy Sinatra say once in an interview that Francis Albert and Dinah almost had a "brother-sister" thing between them, and that he could relax in her company in a way that he rarely could with anyone else...

(How can anybody smoke and sing at the same time and sound that good?)
That's beautiful
Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin can!!
Just Heavenly. I could watch them all day.
love it...Sinatra and Shore.....great memories Bravo
according to Tina Sinatra, Frank absolutely ADORED Dinah. Boy, does it ever show here...LOVE THIS!
Fabulous! There is nothing out there that could compete with these two greats!!
Sinatra is so casual here-when he smiles he looks like he did back in the 40's. Beautiful. You can tell that there's real affection between the two of them.
I was born too late.
same so same

+JOHN FISHER I'll drink to that. and I'm 71'
Same here. They're at the best of that era at the height of beauty then. This is them at their peak
Frank is supreme. But lets not forget Dinah, too! Her laughter. Her interaction with Frank. Her rendition of "Daddy." It is pretty easy to fall for her too!!! What a doll. (thanks for posting this. It is truly a favorite.)
I should never watch television any more? I like this I think I,ll stay on you tube thank you for this!
One of my very favorite You Tube clips. Singing was perfect and Dinah Shore is unbelievable. What a woman.
They don't make em' like this anymore. The professionalism is amazing. Sorry if name icon comes up 2x. Computer error. LOVED this. What talent and charm.....
This is a wonderful duet...Happy 100th Frank!!!!!
Two of the best vocalists in the business doing a great job and having a lot of fun at it.
Frankie was the coolest and Dinah was beautiful.
This is a great medley by two outstanding performers. Frank and Dinah make music fun.
Absolute chemistry i love this duet. You just can not get better. I wish i was in the show to see it live.

No tempo em que se fazia boa música no Mundo. Thanks from Brazil
This made me grin from ear to ear! ... Their rapport is very special.
Wonderful, you can see the true affection they had for each other. And Siantra was really in great voice.
Clearly good friends (with amazing talent, to boot)!
Agreed...the ciggys have not affected him yet...but by the mid 1960s....:(
FS to Dinah Shore - "You're not well !" Classic one liner.
I just love how he constantly makes her laugh.
ADORABLE TWOSOME DINAH SHORE WAS DROP DEAD GORGEOUS AND HER AND FRANK SINATRA WERE HAVING WAY TOO MUCH FUN!! I LOVED THE ENDING WHEN FRANK GAVE DINAH SHORE A PECK ON THE CHEEK RIP BOTH OF YOU.
Just lovely. I’m in heaven.
The class and style of this generation, especially the performers, was incredible. Frank Sinatra, Dina Shore, Dean Martin, Bing Crosby, Louis Armstrong, Peggy Lee, Lena Horne and so on. All so amazing. Makes me wish I had been born a century ago.
I just keep watching it ... over and over .... fantastic.
sweet...two pros in their considerable prime
I don't think you could ask for better than this, Two great talents having a great time singing together. The affection is apparent and it's beautiful.
Two angels were reported missing around this time--I think we found them. Their voices their looks their charm. They are heavenly, well-mannered, and regal. Where have we gone?
Fabulous fun. Two great entertainers enjoying themselves while we get the chance to watch.
isn't it great?
Entertainers my foot, they get the millions of dollars while you fools are entertained by trash...
The good ole days of music!
'The way you hold your knife..'
'It's a switch-blade!'
LOL!!
NOW THAT WAS ENTERTAINMENT.. CAN'T BE BEAT..

Dinah could entertain with the best of them. And she’s so lovable.
Rather than comparing Frank and Dinah to current performers, I would say regardless of the period you prefer it is a pleasure watching performers who show how much they really love not only what, but who they are performing with.
men were so charming back then! gee!
Two of the greatest singers of the 20th century in top form. What a team!
I'm loving the cigarette.
I think that although Sinatra outsold Dinah in record sales in the decade of the 1940s, she had the better voice.
this is one of my favorite videos of Frank thanks for putting up the other one i had on my favorites list got deleted
They always had such fun together!:)
How anybody not love Dinah? She's beautiful inside and out!!
agreed--she's great!
Have you seen her insides?
New Jersey cool and Tennessee smooth. Sounds like scotch on the rocks. Thanks Don, well worth the listen.
This medley actually runs over 7 minutes. I would love to see the original duet on Dinah's 1958 Chevy Show. I don't understand why this medley runs 4:33
this is from the dvd Sinatra: The Classic Duets ... its an amazing dvd
What good music. We have noise now.... So sad!
Franks at his peak..I'm thinking this is early 60's after he left Capitol Records to start his own Reprise label. Dinah had her variety show and was still sounding amazing! This is priceless for those who love standards and the American songbook!

Pure class and entertainment!
Frank y Dinah un duo expectacular....
Just found this today - amazing! Yes, pure class and Frank was gorgeous in those days!! :)
I am so lucky to be born in a generation that had the chance to apprecaite such talent!
What a chemistry!
Two of the best---Sinatra, the best singer ever, and Dinah, singer and one of the best female entertainers. Both were the epitome of class. Thanks for this priceless video.
Just after listening to this song, Dinah Shore is now my favorite female singer ever (Sinatra is my favorite male singer) so it's a double win for me!
I've smiled so hard throughout this - watching Dinah - that my mouth hurts .. !!
Sinatra is at his absolute peak vocal strength here his voice is so rich.....and powerful...
Happy birthday in Heaven, Dinah!
It's not often one can wish happy birthday to Dinah.
+Someone Else - And it happens to be my birthday too.
happy very late birthday, wish you all the best!
They go down as two of the greatest entertainers ever!
Can't help but to swing on this one...
They look like they are having so much fun up there. Both at the height of their game and their confidence. It is so great to see.
Just singers, without computer 'enhancement', that they all need now. There ought to be a law, is it real, or is it computer.
LOVE!!! Wouldn't change a thing! Here's too you!!!
Oh this is so cute. Perfection!
V e r y good acting, singing, arrangement - what an awesome medley ... love it!
wow the chemistry is just amazing
Era muito bom ouvi-los nas radios da época.
I dedicate this to all the beautiful yesterdays...
That's called talent AND personality folks...something that pretty much doesn't exist anymore in show business.
Their chemistry is flawless. Two great professionals. But natural. They don't make them like that anymore
💜❤️ Love this medley with Dinah and Frank pure class .I remenber when I saw it in a Frank dicumentary 15 years ago .Frank I got a crush on you 💜🥂
Wow, talk about enjoying yourself!! Fabulous xxxx
Utter perfection and superb chemistry.
This here clip of the two of them is show business magic. How delightful they are together. No doubt Frank & Dinah felt comfy in each other's presence. I favorited this vid and come here often for another view. Both at their best.
This is absolutely wonderful.
Dinah y Frank, 2 Tremendos Talentos, incomparables
This really deserves to be on youtube. Thanks for putting it back up!
How good this makes me feel to watch two wonderfully talented people just enjoy each other and share their art that makes us feel good. Wow !

I used to listen to this everyday when I was 13, I barely knew any English. Now at 21 I am able to finally enjoy what they say while they sing
