    The amount of physical endurance and breath control it takes to perform a long routine is ridiculous. One like this is just amazing. Skaters have tendency to make it look easy because of the beauty and flow, but I challenge anyone to do a couple figure eights around the rink at that speed, no tricks, and see how far they get. Me, can't skate a lick. Never could.

    • @Kim_Kardashcam
      @Kim_Kardashcam Před 2 lety +7

      Physical endurance is an understatement. I was a figure skater (solo) but I gave it up (at competition level) when I was 18. The thrill of performing was high, but the amount of physical training, practice and time involved were impossible to keep up with once I started working a full-time job. I still miss it after all these years but unless you are going to go professional and maybe go for the Olympics, it's exhausting. Oona and Gage are very talented, they did a great job...and to one of my favourite songs too.

    Exactly what ice skating needs! Good music better outfits, new moves, speed, and new audience. This has beeny favorite routine for a long time. I keep watching, it.

    Happy that you liked it. Just wanted you to get some new perspective of art. The camera man is just spectacular in his role of really bringing this performance to life. Also the second portion of the song was sung by Marlisa who is s fantastic young singer from Australia

      From his reaction I think he got your intended perspective .
      The choice of music with original and the perfect cover version , the setting and to the cherry on the cake thing was the sound of their skates on the ice and the leather of their skates as they moved on the ice .

      Yes, but I thought it may have been a drone camera. Especially as it turned to the New York city buildings at the end, but I could be wrong. Either way, it was great photography.

    Yup they are friggin amazing. Idk if it’s going to be the next one but I think they’ll be going to the Olympics for sure. They are specifically ice dancers. Ice dancing focuses one the artistry in the musics, matching the rhythm, and the complex lifts. Also the pure unity you see in their synchronization. (There’s probably more I only figure skated not ice danced). I also just love that they dance to Metallica!

    I'd just seen this video myself and was so impressed and intrigued that I googled the skaters to see more of them. Never thought I'd find a Reaction Video but how cool and unexpected is that? I could watch this over and over. I mean, the skating is just like nothing I've ever seen and you add the iconic song, the Bryant Park location, the clear, cold sound of blades on ice and the camera work WHAT? Spectacular! ( I suppose the current unfortunate headlines detailing another Olympic doping scandal is what brought about so many new skate related searches allowing this niche video to go viral. At least for a few involved in the sport, the negative press may have paid out a small return. ) Thanks!

    Their father's page is Louis DeVirgilio. He's a trumpet player, so you know where the Browns got their amazing sense of rhythm. He put up a video of Gage and two of his brothers playing Radiohead's Paranoid Android. Gage plays base and sings. It's really good.

    This video is causing a bit of a conundrum for me, I won’t lie, my opinion of people who do reaction videos is that they rate somewhere down around leaches and cock roaches as reaction videos are nothing more then a way for talentless nobodies to try and profit off of the somebody’s who do have talent. I also have to admit the only reason I choose the video when I saw it was because it kinda of pissed me off however, here’s the conundrum I am facing, in the interest of trying to be fair I have a rule which I strictly go by which dictates that regardless of whether I like the content or not, if a video provides you with something you didn’t poses prior to watching it then it has value and I did find it interesting to hear the emotional response this video had on someone who knows nothing about competition skating and I do find you more respectful of the people with the talent so I guess the solution to my conundrum is to admit that not 100% of the people doing reaction videos are bottom feeding leaches, there is at least 1% of them that are acceptable…..
