- Another trip to my favourite part of the UK, the Highlands of Scotland, in search of an Highland Pike or two. I got off to quite a good start but my decision to experiment with new waters rather than sticking with my regular spots proved to be open to question. But hey-ho if you don't try then you will never know.

Very enjoyable video Bruce, very relaxing watching and a nice 13lbder a nice fish. Well done keep em coming!!
Thank you, that is very kind, more to come 👍
Started well there,i bet that last fish felt like a 30 coming in 😂 well done
👍👍 thank you, back to Yorkshire next time hopefully 😉
Enjoyed your video thank you 😊
Thank you, that is very generous 👍
Found mackerel was a winner for me last winter. Very well shot video, nice one mate! 🎣
Always a reliable bait is Mackerel and thank you for the kind comment, appreciated mate 👍
About 100yrds to your left is a favourite spot for putting in set lines for the pike ( there’s a burn coming in ) so I’m delighted to see a nice fatty like that still alive and in great condition, the loch your at has been hammered but any decent fish get caught where u are and further down . Rule of thumb is keep as far away from the roadside thesedays .
Heard that from a couple of the locals 🤢 thanks for reaching out 👍
Looks very peaceful, almost makes me want to try dead bait pike fishing..
Give it a go mate, as you can tell I love it 😉
Hopefully your efforts pay of getting onto new Scottish venues.
I went to the Newark pac meeting and a Scottish lad blew me away (and i believe everyone else in the room)
His record is on a par with Mick brown with the amount of 30s and 20s caught and he's a lot younger.
So there are some very special places in Scotland although he was pushing the boundaries and beyond on some of the venue's he was on.
If he carries on he'll probably surpass Nigel Williams and Neville Fickling.
Craig renwick was his name
A well known Piker north of the border, but no matter where you fish for your Pike it's all about the knowledge and you only get the knowledge by hard work😉👍👍
Brilliant fishing Bruce can I ask you what make is your camouflage coat as iam after one myself 👍🏼👍🏼
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it 👍 the jacket is the best value piece of kit I've ever bought, had it over 20 years, still keeps me dry. Army surplus, MOD's version of heavy duty Goretex , I paid £15 for it!! You can still get them 👍
Great thanks very much 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Been pike fishing Scotland for yrs ,,,and a dead trout does the job for me ,,they eat them all year round 😊
Got my new pb a year ago in the Highlands on a Brownie as you may have seen so certainly a favourite with me as well. Can't use them in the English Lakes, sea deads only !!
hi can i ask where you got your net from. it is that a new Fox rage net? never seen that net before thank you
czcams.com/video/-tfW3vT22Gs/video.htmlsi=xyI0H9qmda_EGs0g
It's a Fox Rage replacement net for their largest net which happens to fit a 42inch triangular, helps no end with the hooks in the net problem and very fish friendly. Of course it doesn't help you to remember to take it to the rods with you when you get a run 🤣🤣
Nice video wot reels are those ? And wot rods do you use.please.
Hi Paul, the reels are Okuma INC 6000's and the rods Masterline Nige Williams XTC's 3.25lb, sadly no longer available but great rods for the job. Tight lines mate🤞🤞
@@amomentintimechannel1315 The INC 6000s are the best deadbaiting reel I've used.
The Polish emptied it, removing everything.
It's bang out of order 🤬 had a few run ins with them during my fishing trips actually took fish from them and put them back.
Loch Awe is brilliant for massive pike me and the mates go there up at the Ford end of the Loch and have caught a good few double figures.
