Mother, I'm Here hits even harder when you find out that the mother the song is referring to is a goddess. Specifically the goddess of loss, longing, *and death*.
It's a funeral song for the character singing it.
Hearing Setting Sail, Coming Home is the only time I've ever teared up playing a video game. Ever.
Build that Wall was a war song of her people. Darren had said that the whole vibe is the soundtrack was country trip-hop. Darren also uploaded their live version of Setting Sail, Coming home on the Supergiant channel. Highly recommend watching/listening to that one as well. 14:07
Logan Cunningham is the voice actor in Get Over It and his voice is sexiness incarnate
SUCH an amazing voice. And such vocal range!
The narrator in Getting Over It was the game creator, Bennett Foddy.

Yay, I'm glad Get Used To It made it in and I love how excited you got over his voice. It's literally the first minute of the game and it just sets the tone so well. I think Bastion was Super Giant's first game? I remember playing the demo of it because it was one of the first high quality games released on the Chrome Web Store back when WebGL was new and opened up the possibility for developing games that ran natively in a web browser.
Also it's hilarious that CZcams decided that this video was about "The Last of Us Part II"

So excited to watch you listen to Transistor's soundtrack at some point. It's so damn good.
That guy in the first song? He's the Narrator. I forget who that guy is, but he Narrates the entire game. Like.... everything. Like, you hear his voice constantly during the entire game. He even reacts to things you do, or don't do. "You know how many times he fell off that barge? Not one single time." or even when you pick a couple weapons... "I wouldn't have thought to bring a bellows to a shootout, but it just might work..."
Love this OST and this reaction so much! Supergiant games just release absolute bangers and Darren Korb breathes so much life into these OSTs
I hope Pyre and Transistor get suggested at some point. With you reaction to this and Hades you will love them.
The very next video you need to do is Supergiant's 3rd game Pyre. Just like the other three games you will have more Darren Korb amd Ashley Batrett solos and duets. Killer soundtrack that actually tells a story. Simply underappreciated. Can't wait to see your reactions to that soundtrack.
Pyre has one of my favorite Supergiant stories. Never to Return is amazing and Thrash Pack is a massive out of place track that fits the triumvirate perfectly.

I love that soundtrack, I only fear it's not quite as meaningful since the music (especially Bound Together) is so intricately linked with the story choices. But that's not to say I don't wanna see that video regardless

If I could have one man's voice, Logan Cunningham is at the top of the list. The Supergiant crew is just obscenely talented.
It's ridiculous how much talent they've accrued into one dev team. They've focused it like the fucking Death Star laser, into one collective stream of white-hot talent that's delivered an orbital strike... of all-time modern classic games.
I hope you at some point do Transistor because there's at least one song there you're going to love
Such a unique mix of Industrial grittiness and a Middle Eastern x Old West mashup with the most beautiful vocals on occasion. This OST was something else.
One of my favorite soundtracks in video games
Terminal March: The "danger" song of this game. You're running for your life while the ground you walk on is falling into a void below you while enemies are trying to attack you, but you can't stop and fight them. You gotta go go go go go before the ground falls out from under you. Or, you're locked in a room and enemies keep pouring in and you frantically keep killing them and they keep coming and keep coming while waiting for the escape route to open up. Meanwhile the narrator trolls you.. "That cage should open up in about 10 seconds." (5 seconds later) "Welll, ok, it might be longer than that."
bit late but youre thinking of a different track, Terminal March is the theme for the final level(s?) where youre assaulting the Ura's base

This OST is like grungy steampunk LoTR music it's so good

You'd love the Sea of Stars soundtrack
"Outer wilds: 14.3 Billion years" would be an interesting one to react to if you've not heard it. The game it's self is truly a work of art, but the song is a running theme throughout, even being part of a game mechanic and it would be interesting to see what someone who hasn't played the game thinks of when they hear it.
