Come along on an journey through Cambodia as I explore the amazing sights of Angkor Wat.

The secrets of Cambodia's ancient kingdom and its temples.
    2:00
🏛️ Angkor Wat: Let's walk through the grand halls of Angkor Wat, the biggest religious building in the world. We'll see its beautiful carvings and tall towers.
    What I learned:
Guardians and Decorations: At the Library of Angkor Wat, big stone statues guard the doors to keep bad spirits away. Inside, you'll find carvings that tell stories about gods and the history of the Khmer people.
The Library is set along a special pathway in the temple. This shows a link between our world and the gods' world. The Library is part of a special place that people from around the world think is really important. It's even been declared a UNESCO World Heritage site, showing how much it means to people.
    2:20
🕌 Bayon Temple: Where you'll find smiling faces carved into the stone.
    Facts:
Faces of Bayon: Bayon Temple is famous for its remarkable stone faces. There are over 200 giant smiling faces carved into the temple's towers, each one looking out in all four directions. These serene faces are believed to represent Avalokiteshvara, a bodhisattva known for compassion in Buddhist tradition, or King Jayavarman VII, the ruler who ordered the temple's construction.
    3:50
🏰 Prasat Preah Khan: Imagine what life was like long ago. We'll walk through its old walls and imagine stories from the past.
    5:40
🌳 Tree Temple: Where trees grow around the ancient stones. It's a magical place where nature and history come together.
    7:10
🌟 Ta Prohm Temple: Finally, we'll journey to Ta Prohm Temple, where the jungle has taken over. It's a UNESCO site and a truly unique place to explore.
    Facts:
Nature's Embrace: Ta Prohm Temple is famous for its unique blend of architecture and nature. Unlike many other temples at Angkor, Ta Prohm has been left largely untouched by restoration efforts, allowing nature to reclaim the site. Gigantic tree roots snake their way through the temple's crumbling walls and towers,
creating a scene of ancient ruins intertwined with living trees. This symbiotic relationship between stone and jungle gives Ta Prohm a hauntingly beautiful vibe, making it a favorite among visitors.
