The book presents questions and points of consideration for the reader to better understand the ethos and code by which each person lives. Everybody fights some type of battle, whether internal or external. The Warrior Ethos provides insight into one's own beliefs regarding morality, professionalism, moral code, and the meaning of the Warrior Ethos.
The Warrior Ethos is part of the Marine Corps Commandant's Professional Reading List for the "Primary Level Enlisted" ranks (Pvt, Pfc, LCpl).
