Never be embarrassed to share your struggles because I enjoy watching you because of your honesty. We all have ups and downs. I've wanted to throw in the towel many times so many times lol. It will get better and if this is the worst weekend you have, that's not so bad! I think more CZcamsrs should be transparent about sales or issues. Instead most downplay or only show the highlight reel on social media. As a longtime reseller, this is why I find alot of newbie resellers giving up or thinking this is easy. Reselling is a marathon❤

I had a terrible weekend, too. I’m only on Poshmark right now and had just TWO sales. It’s hard to find the balance between listing enough, but at the same time not wanting to purchase more inventory when nothing is selling. I don’t keep a death pile and I only have a limited amount of storage space.
I hope things turn around for everyone that is struggling!! 🤞🏻

another thing to make yourself feel better is... ive began selling only within the last 6 months (working hard learning). I have 150 items across 3 platforms. If I had your sales which you consider low, I would be very happy to have that! I would rather watch a youtuber describing their struggles in this as it's way more relatable, instead of the top 1% sellers who make videos "going over our $50k sales today from our 100 car garage warehouse!!!!!!"
Also I've heard stuff about summer slow down, so maybe that is it. I swear I was selling more 3 months ago with worse items in my store than I am currently with a much improved store/items/photos/listings/sourcing compared my skills 3 months ago. I have a full-time job though and don't use any of my ebay sales money, so I'm not really hurting much from slow sales. Just trying to be consistent and continue along in this journey.

For me I’m lucky to make 5 sales in a week. Any sale is a good sale no matter what. I just get thankful for what I have and we just have to reevaluate and keep trucking! You aren’t letting anyone down by sharing imperfections. We appreciate you either way

Summer is a wierd time. People go on summer holidays, spend on the kids during their school holidays. Everyone is out and about enjoying the long daylight. Hope it picks up for you :) keep up the good work

Keep it real, this business is a rollercoaster ride sometimes. We can only control our inputs & just ride out slow sales. Not taking it personally is hard for me, too, especially when I get a return. Returns feel like the end of the world when sales are slow!

I try not to get too discouraged by them but sometimes i can't help it. And you're right to not take it personally, i think thats what happens when i start feeling too negative! Aww Dana just cause you’re not having good sales doesn’t mean it’s because of you (failures) there are many factors why, one being the cost of living going up and people just not spending money on other things besides food. Just keep your head up and continue, don’t let yourself be down friend ❤ and glad your other daughter is there as well 😊

Dana, all business and industries experience slow downs. Just keep doing what you are doing and things will average out over the weeks. I'm just continuing to build my inventory so when the slowdown ends I will have more items ready to sell. Personally I find joy in sourcing and selling and I let that keep me motivated during the slumps. You got this!!!

Thank you for the video, makes me feel better that I'm not alone with the slow down of sales. I had good sales in May and as soon as June hit my sales took a nose dive. I'm praying it picks back up soon.

although i'm not happy for you in having slow sales, i am happy that you shared and still put out a video. This is very relatable for so many of us. It's nice knowing that we're not alone is slow sales. I haven't gotten one today and it's frustrating for sure! I too get very down and my mental health suffers when I feel like i work so hard and the results aren't there some days/weeks.

I feel like most people who send low offers are resellers. Resellers wanting to get a desirable item for super cheap so they call resell it, but chill dude, I’m reselling it!! I understand why they do it. Someone people will give in because no one wants to sit on inventory. But come on guys, do better.

When you were showing that All Saints sweater, I was so excited I really like All Saints~ My stepmom took my nephew to Nordstrom a few weeks ago and bought him a bunch of their T-shirts and sweatshirts and I keep telling him ‘just let me know when you grow out of those I’d be happy To take them from you😂’

Hey Dana, I been watching your videos sadly somtimes I just forget commenting because I am putting them on the back when I am working but, love love love this video. I know that you are the real deal because the reality is beside every big content creator reseller said Reselling its not a straight line. The only way that you can have the same results its that you do have a partner that helps or somebody else that its helping you at full time basis on your Biz otherwise your business will depend on your efforts and sometimes its not it, you just cant for many reasons specially we as a womens are very hormonal and emotionals and of course that will always reflect on your sales. Hi, consistency is definitely a key to success however taking a day off from time to time for mental health is worth it in the long run. I feel the concept of summer slowdown is more attributed to clothing sellers and the reason Is because there's a lot of clothing resellers. I'm in about 20 different categories and clothing is my smallest which I believe is why I'm not affected by a summer slowdown knock on wood of course. I think diversifying definitely helps to avoid slowdowns but there's pros and cons with that. Number one we need to find enjoyment in what we're doing if not discouragement is right around the corner.

reselling is very fickle!!! I only do vintage hard goods and my sales aren't any where near even your bad weekend here. I'm also not counting on it for income... thankfully hubby has a good job. I'm not sure it has anything to do with anything you're doing wrong. But it's the nature of the reselling business to have slow times. Don't beat yourself up.

For your drafts, choose 2 of the easiest to list and do those first. Make a wall calendar or something and put a happy face by the 2 items and also write down how long it took you and circle that. You can trick your brain by changing the order and a little different technique. Always keep the recording different so your brain gets used to it as different. And always first. Otherwise it feels like overtime on a salary job. Not fun. 🐈

@danafindwell i use an example from my life. I used to work in restaurants and loved all of the details that brought things together. One of the first things that had to happen in one restaurants is cheesecakes made to be made and frozen for the next days use. The chef was very particular and he would lose his mind if this wasn't done first because it was for the future and his brain looked at it like a big duh. I learned so much about efficiency there. So maybe your draft bank items can be cheesecake too. 🎂
Hi sister! Thank you for sharing your feelings because I used to work in fashion retail and everyday we have sales target to meet and our managers will be questioning us. We meet some good and bad customers and the bad ones are really annoying like asking us to check all the stores and transfer exchange etc. also promotions after promotions and new styles to remember. I think sales is always unpredictable but you are right, if you sell more items than your sales is higher. I think for your business you can also use Facebook or Instagram to do some social media content to generate your followers. You are a really sincere and honest loving person. You have to put you and family first. You do great and even this was way better than my weekend sales. I think it just happens in the summer. And, anyone who has listed items knows it is not as easy as it seems. I am a slow lister (turtle!) and I worked for 1 hour on 1 listing that I ended up saving as a draft ! lol! Im struggling with the eBay shipping. Do you do priority or ground shipping? It really makes me nervous -ha ha. Love your videos and thank you so much for sharing! Thanks Judy, yes you are sooooo right, family comes first! Hahaha remember, slow and steady wins the race! eBay shipping does take a while to get used to, I primarily use ground advantage...did you suggest that i make a ebay shipping video? I could do that or add it to a vlog when i have a chance. It kind of all starts with my shipping policy in which i make all my policies 'standard shipping'. That way i can pick ground or priority after the buyer has purchased...this makes shipping more flexible for me. I know this is probably confusing, its a little hard to explain in a comment! Please never be embarrassed. It's summer slow down, our economy stinks and there is a ton of competition. Any sale is a good sale. No one is perfect.

All businesses are starting to see a slow down, businesses are starting to lay off and others closing. Economists have been warning us this was coming. The other issue is this is an election year. During an election year, things get a bit off.

Unlike a few years ago, we now have to make more frequent adjustments, and watch our spending. just like a big business we must accept the fact that we will have to scale back on spending, and continuously act as change agents.
