Jai Guru Dev, Jai Masters. Jai Guru Dev is a traditional Hindu phrase that means Glory to the Great Teacher (the most accurate translation would be glory to the shining remover of darkness), where the great teacher here is generally considered to be the Divine Soul, while we, as human beings, are considered the individuated Soul. Jai Masters means Glory to the Masters, some of whom Singer refers to at times.

This video speaks to why I hold the opinion that science is a religion. When you look closely enough, you begin to notice things which don’t add up. In this case, it’s the scientists who wave their hands claiming special knowledge.
They learned or deduced these concepts decades ago. Right or wrong, these concepts have an inertia.

@@justaman33 THAT is the challenge: to keep ones heart open to someone being cruel; or to accept with equanimity a system designed to be unfair; or to remain vulnerable and open in the face of an angry mob. Is on my mind a lot. To refrain from anger; is that the goal? Even jesus lost his cool, overturned the money lenders' tables. I wish it were easier to be at peace. I want it for myself (& for all) but am too alert to injustice, suffering, hypocrisy, insensitivity, unkindness, intentional lack of accountability, systemic inequity, the benefits of silent complicity, etc , etc . We humans need a bio-feedback game in which the goal is to remain centered while playing.
My grandson and his peers are living in a different environment (age) than the times the gurus lived. He’s already addicted to video. AI is his best friend.
For better or worse, the only way to disconnect from technology is to become a Luddite. Why would we live with all the negative effects of tech without the positive benefits?
Very difficult to be neutral /peaceful with damage humans inflict on selves/others/ animals/the earth.
Dark ‘contrast’ makes me ‘look within’ even MORE; always asking myself, “What-would-love-do-NOW?” 👀?
I think the key is to get above the contrast. To that place of understanding and equanimity, your seat of being.
