    Very nice end result. I can't help but cringe a little though when I see you spin up the piece before the glue has a chance to fully cure. Seems to me that much of the glue is lost due to centrifugal force making for a glue starved joint.

    • @mayukowoodturning7644
      @mayukowoodturning7644  Před 2 lety

      Thank you, it can be done when the glue is wet but the tail stock must stay firmly stuck to the wood, the glue is a bit scattered but it sticks perfectly to the wood

    • @DarchAengel
      @DarchAengel Před 2 lety +1

      I was thinking something similar, you must have glue splatter all over your workshop!!

    • @mayukowoodturning7644
      @mayukowoodturning7644  Před 2 lety +1

      @@DarchAengel It's definitely glue splattered, but yeah that's the risk of the job and it doesn't matter

    Spectacular! I wonder if developing the design and working schedule and the preparation of all these hundreds of parts (do you remember how many were needed?) took more time than the turning itself. However - I love the result!

    • @mayukowoodturning7644
      @mayukowoodturning7644  Před rokem

      yes that's right out of all my work of course it takes more time to make the preparation of gluing the wooden parts than turning them around, usually I make 6 projects at once in 3 weeks, thank you 🙏🙏🙏

    Lovely vase! I attempted the same type of effect, but with four different types of wood. I wound up having to redo several of the rings as the colors were not in the correct format. Lesson learned. Beautiful.
