- The spring broke on our B8.5 Audi A4. I'm going to replace it with a full strut/spring combo so that I do not need to use a spring compressor. In this video, I walk through replacing both sides on our Audi A4. One with a broken spring, one with a good spring. After completion of this project, any time you work on a suspension, you should get an alignment!
The parts for this video were provided by Transit Auto. The parts were Unity Strut parts and fit great!

thanks! Was looking autodoc video first and did not take leap to work on it. Today used Your tips and it took 1 hour, no unnessesary work. Thanks!
Nice! Glad to hear it! That’s a super fast time to get all this done!
Awesome video brother. That job looked like a pain. Thanks for sharing. Keep the content coming. Hope you have an incredible weekend. Much love and RESPECT
Thanks Tim. After I figured out the right steps it wasn’t too bad. Appreciate you watching! Have a great weekend too!
Wow! Never seen a spring break like that on that new of a car! I've had a few torsion bars break on old mopars I've had but they were older and common on that type of spring, That's kinda odd to happen to a coil spring, Probably a flaw in the metal of the spring. Great fix! Thanks for sharing!👍
Yea definitely odd to see on that new of a spring. The coating on the spring and everything was still in great condition. I agree with you it probably was a flaw in the spring. Sadly, I've seen this happen to a few of these vehicles online!
