It's true- but sometimes the style of teaching is just hard to go along with. I can specifically think of one teacher I had freshman year at Emerson who was very hard to interact with and do assignments for- yet she was a very good teacher. I can also think of about anyone in between- including self absorbed jerks like William Orem at Emerson who wanted to be called "professor" even though he did not earn the title (literally a vetting process). Everyone has their issues- but there is a point where intent is less retentive and it comes down to the ability to connect and not make others feel uncomfortable.
We've all had this teacher, desperately trying to modernize her class: "You might say that haikus were the first tweets! Aeh!". She's so proud she attempted to "speak their language".

I love the character. Not only is she hilarious, reminds me of a lot of teachers I knew growing up. But...is it bad I love that she hears what the students say n does her best to relate? Like gives the kids a chance to genuinely express themselves.
