10:43 be honest, you were a little salty that his halo xbox came into the store working.... >.
So glad you went here! Steve is the absolute best and deserves great success at the store. His store is great with amazing selection and prices, but his personality and customer service are what set him far ahead of any other store in the area.
Shout out Steve for opening up a cool store in the Milwaukee Area. Nothing like a video game shop that you are comfortable enough to hang out in at the same time.
Went into the store last weekend to get an extra copy of Halo to host my first LAN party. Dude was super kind and gave me tips as to what was needed to hook up and get things running. Absolutely a must stop if you're in the area
My favorite arcade game was centipede 🎉🎉🎉🎉
People that love their trait or expertise hit different. Make going to the business enjoyable if not over done.
Having areas for your kids, and other kids to hang out, enjoy, and play games its just awesome! Good on you for creating this area for them.
People like Steve are rare...hopefully he has a ton of success
Hopefully because I can't imagine paying such electicity bill just by running all those consoles even desktop pcs for free lol... this business strategy sounds absolutely ridiculous.
Konami used the same game engine for the following arcade games:
1) The Simpsons
2)TMNT
3)TMNT Turtles in Time
4) Sunset Riders
5) The Cow-Boys of Moo-Mesa
6) Buckey O'Hare
All of these games came in the standard Konami 4-Player cabinet. There were some 2-player cabinets as well, but I don't know if they were actually released by Konami or if they were kits. Because I am more than likely older than the majority of y'all viewing this channel, I am stuck between two of my favorite games from the 80s. The first one is the original Donkey Kong. The second one is Star Wars. This awesome Vectrix game was published by Atari in 1983. The only way to play this game is the sit-down cockpit cabinet.
Steve is a great store owner. Very knowledgeable and friendly, even when busy. If you're taking a trip to the store, it's actually in Greenfield by hwy 100 and Layton. Not in the city proper.
I was JUST at this game store for the first time yesterday!
I’m a MKE resident and I can confirm that this is THE game store in Milwaukee. It’s my new favorite game store!! I’ve been going here for a few months now! Steve is so cool and he’s obviously passionate about gaming. The deals are so good, too! The atmosphere is exactly what gamers are looking for!
A local store near me got a lounge, projector, rows of consoles and within 6 weeks it was all stolen. Not by customers, by thieves who entered during the night. That was the last time and only time I ever saw a setup like this one. Its a wonderful shop, both of your shops are amazing and better than anything i've seen in the past 20 years.
This store and owner is great! We went to that store as well while in town for Midwest gaming classic. Definitely recommended! Nice work on the video, Rick
This store is only 2 hours away from me will deff be taking a trip down there soon! Had no idea about this spot.
Do it. You won’t be disappointed!
@@4th1st73 I deff will, already saw acouple things I plan on getting, fingers crossed they’re still there.
So glad you got your channel back man. People are so messed up. Glad your back and poppin.
Can't believe you said Wayne's World 2 when it was the first one!!!
Love community oriented stores! Looks like a fun time especially when they have tournaments.
Favorite of all time was golden axe growing up put so many quarters into that machine 😂
That store is really well thought out really clean and open feeling. Wish I lived closer be nice
my favorite all time arcade game is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!
I love his lounge! If real estate wasn't nuts here in so cal, this was what I wanted to do should I ever open a game store. It would be as much a community center as a retail space.
WWF Wrestle Fest is my all-time favorite arcade game.
His gamestore looks so professional and clean. I liked Digdug, Gauntlet and Pacman.
Halo 3 LAN party? holy shit that was my childhood. Funny story time:
I'll try to keep it short lol
I'm from NYC, and when I was like 14 I was the biggest white nerd you can imagine and standing 6'6''
My friend on Xbox live told me to come to a LAN and I never been to one so I was excited and wanted to go.
He told me the LAN was in the south Bronx (the hood if you don't know)
I was 14 and I didn't know the difference between the hood or a nice area lol.
I get on the train to go to the LAN and I get there and I'm completely lost. I'm a tall white nerd, walking around the south bronx with an xbox, and a computer monitor under my arms LOL.
Looking back on it it's one of the funniest moments of my life, but in the moment nothing happened and I had a blast, and went back multiple times over the years.
TLDR: I was in the hood sticking out like a sore thumb with an xbox and computer monitor under my arms.
Just curious how tall are you now?
And if you don't mind me asking what do you do for work?
@@poke-holo-sports I'm 6'6'', I stopped growing early and I'm an entrepreneur.
Just curious how long are you ?
And if you don't mind me asking what is your favourite position ?
@@PhilBurnell1982 🤣
Friggin awesome..thanks for the tour Rick
I played every new arcade game that came out in my local arcade from 1981 - 1984, So I was there when Donkey Kong, Galaga, Kangaroo, Frogger, Dig dug, Tron etc etc... was wheeled in. Such a glorious time. I still have pictures of me playing some of those games. One in particular was me playing Kangaroo in the Fall of 82.
I'm old now. Like close to retirement old. Love the channel though Rick!!
Packing up my compaq PC and heading to my friends house to participate in a LAN party in the garage. Ghost recon and rogue spear days!
Fav arcade game of all time - Indiana Jones and The Temple of Doom
It’s from Wayne’s World 1. It’s right after they go backstage at Alice Cooper 😊 I used to watch the movie religiously as a kid so I’ve probably seen it about 100 times. Even had the movie memorized at one point lol 👍
When he says Wayne’s World 2, it makes you question the Retro part of his name
As a HUGE collector myself and as I said in todays video, I would struggle to own a Retro Game Shop 😮
The best part was that sick Emmitt Smith shirt! Oh, and that looks like an awesome place to hang out and shop for games!
Love the store, awesome of him having the community come in to play games ❤
Die Hard Arcade! The game that made me want a Sega Saturn over an N64 and it wasn't out for the Saturn yet when I made that decision. Luckily it paid off in the end.
My favorite arcade game is Gauntlet Legends. I remember when I was 18 in 2005, the arcade at my mall was selling their cabinet of it, I had the money for it but no way to get it to my house a hour away. I was crushed.
Gauntlet was one of the best arcades. It was my first quadracade that I played with friends. Star Castle was my best single player.
Agreed I love Gauntlet game.
I'm about 45 minutes away. Gonna have to make the trip!
8:22 Made me jump up to see if I had a customer in my retail store, turns out we have the same doorbell! I've been getting ads about this store on Facebook and I'm only an hour away. Will definitely stop by when I'm in the Milwaukee area!
Street Fighter II Champion Edition is my all time favorite!
Store is AMAZING 🎧💻🎮
I used to live in Milwaukee years ago. I wish this place was open when I was there! Awesome store!
My favorite arcade game was the sit down version of star wars
I really loved playing Combatribes at the roller skating rink when I was young.
Cool Video - maybe next year after MGC I’ll go visit this NEW Video Game Store 😊😊😊
Tron. Awesome cabinet, excellent sound. Love the game.
Gauntlet legends cabinet was a huge factor in my gaming obsession as an adult lol
Going to work with my dad as a child and getting a dollar in quarters to play with, gauntlet was the only game you could play for more then a couple mins,
Awesome Shop 🙏😎🤙
Fav arcades? Simpsons for sure. Cabal. Turtles. Final Fight. MKII. SFII. T2. Rival Turf.... So many good memories.
What an amazing shop!
I love the idea of having a game lounge in the store. That's super cool, and would put me in the store more often.
Cool store! Milwaukee its like an hour from me come to visit the collection nex time
I love this store, been there a couple of times
From 2016 to 2020, my two local goodwills sold ps2 slims for $9.99 and fats for 19.99. They also sold OG XBOX & XBOX 360s for $19.99. Now the only thing the have is mangled sports games for $6 each. How times have changed.
I live an hour from Milwaukee and haven't heard of this place, will have to visit! Was also cool to meet you and Michael at the Midwest Gaming Classic!!
Went in there last week and purchased that CIB Xbox 360 blades dashboard!!!! Such a. Awesome
Dude!
When i was a kid i use to go to a carnations ice cream shop in santa ana ca mid 80s. I was mesmorized by the big shinobi arcade cabinet. Goat
just dropped $300 in there this past weekend! Awesome place and Steve is a great guy.
That’s a awesome store! It’s cool what he’s doing there with the gaming set ups to play for free.
Favorite arcade game, simple virtual on 2 it was a robot fighting simulator game.
I hope his store really does well! Milwaukee gamers show support!
I’m old. Dragon’s Lair, Afterburner, Star Wars with the cockpit from the 1982or83, and Sega ent. did one in the late 90s i love also…
The things which go into my personal dream mini-arcade start with: MvC2, XMen vs Street Fighter, Double Dragon, Tiger Heli, Karate Champ and LotR Pinball. Once those are present, other options might be considered.
Fun fact Alice Cooper actually has a learning center in Native reservation in Arizona.
It's pretty amazing and also insane the collections these game stores have.
Favorite arcade game is definitely Primal Rage! Love that game!
@ 12:27 Yes it is a DK Jr. cabinet with the marquis, but if you look at the screen, you will see Donkey Kong. More than likely this was converted into what is known as "Double Donkey Kong." Both DK and DK Jr. are in one cabinet. Just press both start buttons on the title screen to switch games. More DK Jr.'s were converted into Double DK, than vice versa.
The first Wayne's World Rick!
I remember walking into my local grocery store and my mom going to shop while I played Marvel vs Capcom 2 arcade machine in the 90s and spending all my coins in that game 🥲 always picking Venom and Mega man trying to beat it before my mom was done grocery shopping
Love the Tekken 8 playing in the background. Simpson's and PitFighter.
I did some games at my flea market booth last weekend People definitely looking. Good stuff
The arcades I spent most money on was Kung Fu Master and 1943: The Battle of Midway.
The first, I could reach the final boss and beat him, today, I cant pass the witch on the 4th level.
The second, 1943, I could reach the final ship boss with one coin but I couldn't beat it with just one coin.
Great games, great times.
Crazy taxi arcade game from the early 2000 I use to love playing that in my local mall
Space Ace, Rampage, Gauntlet, Hypersports
My favorite arcade game is Star Wars, growing up, I would always play that game at Chuck e cheese. That's why I bought the arcade 1up.
My favorite Arcade game is tied between Dig Dug and DKJ. Both games that kind of started my gaming journey.
More stops like this would be awesome for me to plan the most epic road trip Eva!!! lol
Cool it opened up on my Birthday
He is doing a true service to the community. Having a safe place for kids to hang out is so cool.
Street Fighter 2 !!
Steve is such a good guy!!!
Best arcade game was Run n Gun 2, it was a double system attached arcade, so you had space, but you were playing your opponent. Super underrated
Land party's is such a gold idea for a game store. That would be so freaking fun!
Yo retro Rick in my hometown literally down the road from my house! Missed ya bud!
PLEASE head to Rochester Minnesota to the “Machine Shed” So stuffed with EVERYTHING!! AND more
Digging that Emmit TShirt bro!!
The best store in the area, always a good time going there!
Brand new.... 6 years old.... Hmmm KEK. Love your vids Rick
What an awesome store! Love the stock and game lounge. That snatcher is awesome! You don't see that very often. I hope someone gets it because I'll tell you from experience, buying it from a game store, is a feeling that can't be replaced. Yes, you can get most things from ebay and prices can be configured back and forth but I'll always remember that day i finally found it. ☝️🙌✨️
Favorite arcade was gauntlet legends, cruising USA, tmnt turtles in time and Time Crisis.
you should have a game lounge and a Lan party tournaments in store (but you have to find a bigger better building or remodeled the whole building that you got now)
Man, I miss lan parties, early 2000s before the internet was so common.
Metal Slug, Marvel Vs Capcom 2, Time Crisis, Crazy Taxi, Simpsons, Mrs Pacman. 👾
The 4 player cabinets (X-Men, Simpsons, Turtles, Avengers) are hard to beat but my all time favourites are Splatter House,.Wonderboy & Ikari Warriors.
Favorite Arcade Games...Tempest, Golden Axe, Super Sprint and probably Track And Field (the ones with the buttons, not the trackball!).
HYDRO THUNDER! favorite arcade game growing up.
My favorite arcade game was Hard Drivin’ by Atari. A sit down racing simulation game with a haptic steering wheel, 4 speed manual, and impressive graphics for the era. I had the highest score in my local arcade and enjoyed watching people try to beat it.
Top 3 favourite arcade cabinets
1. The Simpsons arcade
2. TMNT
3. X-Men
Honourable mention Marvel Vs Capcom 2
Xmen and Simpsons were probably my most played arcade games growing up. But I think the time crisis games were my favorite. Buck hunter is up there too.
Outrun and Chase HQ were my go to arcade games
One of my favorite stores local to me
Favourite arcade game metal slug on the snk arcade machine
