    This board seems to have it all! 🎯
    Lee, This would sure fit nicely in the Ritewing “BIG Drak”. (Hint-Hint)
    You have all the other Draks and it would complete your fleet too. 😎
    Whichever way you decide to go, this is going to be a special board and I’m eye balling it too for a build when it comes available.
    Matek just makes great stuff and is always moving forward.
    Thanks for all the great content and all the best! ✌🏼

      What are the extra features offered by the 743 model for you?

    • @lDavidl
      @lDavidl Před 2 lety +1

      @@yousefsaadeh7144 Mainly the CAN-Bus and additional PWM port. The plane that the F765-Wing is currently in uses up all of the 12 ports and I would love to have another one. Also, while the M8Q-CAN and ASPD-DLVR can both work on it, they are more convenient to use with CAN-Bus as it would allow for some cleaner and easier wiring.
      I’ve owned both of those sensor for quite a while now and still haven’t actually installed them. First I had to wait for iNAV 2.6 for what felt like ages and then, once it got released, I had to update the firmware on the GPS module for it to actually work over MSP... which I still haven’t done :/
      Anyway, maybe I’ll finally get me this FC now that you’ve reminded me ;D I just wish that it also had another camera port.

    Hi Lee thanks for the great video - again. As a suggestion for a future video if there is enough interest from others, I would like to see one of your step by step videos showing how to use a blheli, dshot esc with arduplane 4 on the h743. I thought I had all the parameters set with the help of the Arduplane guides but must have missed something as the motor doesn't spin and smoke still tries to get out! I've set servo_blh_auto to 1, otype to 6 for Dshot 600 and mask to 1 for group 1? (its a talon evo with only 1 quad brushless motor) Cheers,Bill

    Thanks for this excellent review, Lee. I would really like an up-to-date comparison of the many Mateksys boards, in order to choose the best for a large motor-glider intended for "automated" thermal soaring, probably using Arduplane. I have a H743 Wing working on a Ranger 1600 as basic testbed, this one on INAV (6.1.1). This H742 board is now 3 years old and there might be better options...
    Best regards.

    Hi, thanks for the video. Matek's website (in the tip section) is highly recommended to "erase MCU and upload firmware". I'm not sure I understand what they mean by MCU? Need some help, because documentation for using 743wing with a Matek 12s PDB HEX is not to find.
    I am shure you have the solution!
    - where to connect the Curr from PDB? Cant use the onbaord Curr of the 743wing - need 180A. Is it CU2? Need to messure if the Curr from PDB is not more than 3,3V then, right?
    - how to get power in the 743wing without using the onboard curr? By the vbat on the BEC-Board of 743wing? Or just neglect it, take the BATT pads and use CU2?

    It's like buying coffee, you look at a small and see that a medium is only 30p more. Then you notice that the large is only 20p more than that...
    I look at the F405 wing and think 'That would do all I need it to do'. Then I see the F765 and I think. 'It's only a few quid more and it's latest gen. Makes sense'.
    Then I see that the H743 Wing is only a few quid more than that and think 'Well, for less than the price of a cup of coffee I can have the latest, fastest, tallest, strongest, flight controller, it makes sense'.
    Then, while I'm mulling and trying to talk myself out of buying something that is way beyond my needs I notice that the H743 is actually cheaper than the F765 AND the F765 is out of stock anyway.
    And that is how I ended up with an H743.

    I purchased one similar to this the h743 wlite and I put it in my 90mm viper jet. On my maiden flight about 30 seconds after take off I lost all controll and it death sprialed into a lake. I see in the fine print.
    Current Senor: 220A, 3.3V ADC (Scale 150 in INAV, 66.7 A/V in ArduPilot)
    Sense resistor: 90A continuous, 220A peak
    Does this mean my esc draw can not be over 90A continous? Because this jett runs at around 110- 120amps at full throttle.
    I am wondering if this was my faital error as I think the FC failed. I was running the gps, crossfire and had failsafe set to RTH. RTH did not activate so I am assuming the FC failed mid flight. hello Andrew
    maybe you can explain to me the strange behavior of my matek F722 wing, mounted on an arwingpro with R-XSR and flashed with INAV 6.1.
    1st behavior
    autolaunch mode activated, armed, throttle stick activated, engine operating at half speed, launch carried out, launch detected, increase in speed, then return to initial speed, without possibility of increasing it, forced landing
    2nd behavior, same conditions
    armed, autolaunch deactivated by the sticks, unable to run the engine at full power, it accelerates, cuts, restarts at full speed, cuts etc....
    after disconnecting and reconnecting the battery, the behavior becomes nominal again
    latest info: 4s LiFePo4 A123 batteries

    • @Painless360
      @Painless360  Před 10 měsíci

      It sounds like the battery is struggling to provide the power you want or maybe something like the voltage is dropping too much. Those cells have a far lower voltage than the more conventional battery choices. Maybe it is the LVC on the ESC? I'd try it with a lipo battery to rule that out. Best of luck

    I BOUGHT THIS BECAUSE I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN EXTREMELY IMPRESSED BY MATEK. I bought this model for my TALLON that has a 405 wing in it. I wanted the remote USB link and buzzer more than anything. I am hoping to do all preflight checks without removing the hatch before a flight. I always felt the vertical USB of the 405 was a mistake especially after dislodging mine. I am also hoping that the more powerful processor will aid in terrain follow missions. But having it in my hands, I am simply amazed that it is almost identical in size to the 405Wing with all the added features.
