I grew up with Katie's family and knew many of her aunts and uncles. Large, fairly poor folks. Unfortunately many were heavy smokers and have passed. Only met Katie a few times as a young woman. She really is a knock off the Nolan block.

as a pats fan, i had the biggest smile on my face when i saw the gronk headline this afternoon. until brady retires/stops being competitive, i will be a content pats fan. the bucs are now an extension of the pats with brady because of how much he has meant to the organization for years. i'm not saying that their success moving forward literally is patriots success, but i'm just saying that for us as patriots, the true fans will take as much joy and happiness in bucs' success because of tom and what he has done for the pats. for how belichick mishandled the final years and took brady for granted, i'm ok with sacrificing pats success for a few years until we climb back to the top while we rebuild. until they i'm all on board with tommy. this isn't bandwagoning. it's appreciation for a once-in-a-lifetime player, and acknowledgement that a coach has turned his back on him by making him look bad with terrible offensive personnel for a few years now without offering him a multi-year deal despite performing with those lack of weapons.

To be fair, Gronk retired because he didn't wanna play for the Lions and said Brady is his quarterback, and he wouldn't catch for another QB.
Nowhere near the truth. First off he threaten to retire before being traded to the Lions and that was in 2018. Secondly he retired in 2019 after SB 53 due to his injuries and presumably his hatred of Belichick.
2in dabush exactly and Belichick has no loyalty to his players Brady won him 4 or 5 Super Bowls at the time (it might be 4 I don’t remember if it was before the Falcons or not) and Belichick tried to trade him. There’s a reason Brady Butler Gronk and a lot others left the Pats
@@mak51smith80 yeah belichick said himself he would drop Brady if he didn't perform, yeah he may not have thrown a touchdown against such a dominant defense but he still made plays I mean the rams who had such an amazing defense couldn't score once either, what about how he beat the chiefs in the championship when they were so amazing and how about how his stats weren't terrible this year when he had the worst receiver core in his history of football, as the patriots franchise has said many times it's not about stats it's about winning games they still went 12-4 with Brady and sure they may have lost to the titans but the titans beat the ravens by even more so there's that. Brady saved the patriots over 100million dollars by accepting lower contracts giving him 2 yrs of low paid contracts is well deserved and that's because no one knows if he hit the cliff yet, he still through 4000 yards recently won a superbowl and an mvp I mean he's clearly not bad him getting a decent qb sized contract isn't showing loyalty it's simply giving him money based on his play even tho his play would be worth more if he wasn't Brady. He has no loyalty for his players all he has is his drive to win, he starts those he thinks will be better for the franchise which isn't a bad thing but still.

@simon cohen An that's how you kno Belichick cares about Brady cus if he didn't why would he draft Gronk to the Bucs when he could of gotten an even better deal with another team. He just needed Brady to leave so he can start rebuilding with another quarterback cus Brady only got 2 years left an as a coach he needed to start preparing for the future now so he won't miss out on his next great qb.

Gronk wasn’t gonna play with anyone else. He made that clear when Bill was gonna send him to Matty P. That’s why he retired. But Bill did what’s best for the team, a fourth is better than a 7th. And Bill did trade a retired player, because Gronk has not played last year, he’s not on the roster and he would only come back to play with Brady. So in fact Bill traded a retired player’s remaining contract for a 4th. And Gronk could not make the team in Tampa, he could also get cut if he does not perform, which is highly unlikely but probable.
