    That is genius.
    Some manufacturers do sell an insert piece for the three way corner but they are so hard to find and many manufacturers don't sell them at all.
    Your trick will be brilliant on metal trim.

    Very new to tiling. Found this very informative, but couldn't for the life of me work out why my cuts were 'concave' when they needed to be 'convex'. It would appear the side of the box you do the cut is is the key. Took me ages to work it out - nearly threw the lot in the bin and the old man nearly left me. Persevered and managed to do it, but it was quite a challenge before I realised what I was doing wrong!

    Good video but you have picked the one brand of tile trims that provide proper corner trim pieces for that exact purpose , 59p each and will save you all those cuts and be an exact colour and size match for those trims , if like me you have no decent tile outlets near you so can't get the genesis corners unless you pay £7 postage, yeah right, I'm really going to do that , I have exactly the same triple mitre cuts done on my bathroom from about 2013, good of you to help others mate. nice one 👍

    As my geometry skills are absolutely duff, here's a Crypton Factor question before I ruin a perfectly good length of quadrant/trim 😬:
    Will the same 'Left, Left, Right' or 'Right, Right, Left' format apply when I'm cutting bathroom quadrant/trim for the *'interior'* angles of a shower cubicle?
    Your 3-way is for an external corner - a forward-facing attitude - where my shower cubicle geometry (trims around 3 sides of shower tray and 2 going up the inside corner of cubicle) is interior.
    Any info, pal?

    • @mancaveprojects4693
      @mancaveprojects4693  Před 8 měsíci

      Yes it will work but I would never run a quadrant vertically on an internal corner in a shower cubicle. All internal vertical joints at the corner would be filled with a low modulus silicone bead. Chances are the 2 walls that but up to each other will be constructed from different materials (external wall butting up to a non load bearing internal wall for example). Because the 2 walls are constructed from different materials, they will expand and contact at different rates. This will more than likely result in water penetration into the join if a non flexible material is used to fill the gap in the tiles (quadrant for example). Hope this helps

    • @ClaimOfRightMuso
      @ClaimOfRightMuso Před 8 měsíci +1

      @@mancaveprojects4693
      Okay. Tiles all round on shower cubicle, but I take your point. I'd already planned on using a high-quality silicon to stick the quadrant down, then additional silicon to tidy-up any tiny spaces where quadrant sits 'flush' in corner, however I'm now considering my options and thinking of abandoning the 'upright' quadrant and just having the 3 horizontal sections running round the 3 sides of the shower tray.
      Thanks for reply, pal 👍
