    I'm so glad I found you! Thank you for these informative, inspiring videos. I bought the Modern Spellcaster's Tarot, but didn't connect with it - until now! Your insight on runes and mythology have me hooked on them now. Gratitude!

    I never really understood why swords are not associated with ego and aggression. To me, weapons represent war, fighting, force. I mean, it takes more intelligence to do something useful with a stick. And though you can make fire with a stick, you can also make a spark with metals and fire can be aggressive. So, this deck makes more sense to me that the traditional meaning.

    Your talk about the elements being switched for Wands and Swords reminded me how I feel they should be switched and why. I made a video about why I feel Wands are Air and Swords are Fire after watching your video. :)

    Late to the party on this deck. Something quite interesting I stumbled across. The author doesn’t mention much about symbolism’s used in the deck and some of the cards seem to contradict the artwork. I found her CZcams channel and watched the couple of videos she uploaded. There again, she was extremely vague and left out so much. Did some research and his wife Elizabeth assisted him on his project while she created Everyday Witch. She was the driving force to his understanding but also the symbolism and she’s no stranger to Llewellyn. Seems as though more credit should have been given to Elizabeth and Scott. It’s one of my fav’s. Btw love all of your videos!! ❤️

    I read as I learned, (traditional Waite) & do NOT change suits/numbers. With this deck I don’t see a problem with the wand & sword imagery, just read them as usual. Good video!

      This is my July deep dive deck. Yes, late to the party too! I've only recently purchased this deck, but the creator does state in the book to read the cards as you feel them, which is great advice as so many people have differing opinions on the swords/ wands "switch".

    Yay! Great to see you back (or at least for the moment anyway). Loved hearing your thoughts on the Modern's Spellcaster's Tarot. I am glad you touched on the elemental switches. I think this elemental switch makes the most sense to me. I know there are decks (like the ones you mentioned and the Tarot of the Silicon Dawn) where the elemental switches don't immediately click to me. But I do love seeing the different perspectives. Loved the symbol depictions and your explanations of each too. Much love /Sören

      Alex Kristoffersen thanks so much! my all-time favorite books on sacred geometry are The Ancient Secret of the Flower of Life by Drunvalo Melchizedek (vols 1 & 2) he covers some other really fascinating subjects too. Thanks so much for watching my friend :) xo

    A few hours ago I had stated I'm seeking decks that aren't "gender typical". More inclusive of gender expressions, non-binary, and various sexualities. This whole video hyped me up to see you go through the cards..and it ends with a "but wait, there's more!" xD. I'd love any recommendations you may have on LGBTQ friendly decks.
    Here goes another couple hours watching your videos. ;-D Thank you!

    I literally just got it because of the diversity. There aren't many diverse decks around, or at least not as many as the all white decks which are the overwhelming majority. I'm even currently considering designing my own diverse deck, so I can have one that I actually love _because again there are so very few compared to the all white decks that most aren't even designed to my taste. I have seldom come across beautiful decks which I have gone back and forth about buying exactly because they don't even have one figure that looks any close to me, and that has actually become a huge bummer for me over the years. I've come to understand that all of my favourite decks have at least one card with one figure that looks like me. Ciro Marchetti does that, he either makes the High priestess or the star a darker skin woman. Luckily the high priestess is my archetype, so that fits in _ but it's still not enough. But again I am not going to ask anyone to start making inclusive tarot decks so people like me can have more of a choice; I am simply just going to draw mine and that's that. I'm also altering a deck that I just absolutely love design wise, but looks like it was sponsored by the 3rd reich _meaning that it is all very white. It's the Golden Art Nouveau tarot. Thing is that there were people from other ethnicities in both the US and Europe in the 1920s and 30s, and I thought we all knew that lol But apparently not the Golden Art Nouveau author _maybe someone aught to tell her. I get it that with a Wiccan deck (like the Spellcasters) where the scenario/theme is ancient Britain, people of colour might not have exactly been in that picture much (even tho currently there are many Wiccans who are people of colour, and there could already be modern Wiccan decks which reflect that). But anyway, Wiccan decks still being all white because the designers haven't yet caught up with the times, that I can sort of tolerate to a degree, but why would an Art Nouveau deck be all white? Josephine Baker didn't exist? LOL

    The rambles are definitely a good thing! I definitely do a lot of elemental jumbling when I'm analyzing different systems. I think one big reason it often gets murky might be because while these energies are definitely four distinct, magical forces acting in the universe at all times, they all are expressed to us in a mixture. For example, in astrology, the four elements are constantly applying energy to the world in the three modalities, but their expression always comes through the lens of the planets, and the planets themselves carry their own elemental signature. I was born with a natal T-square with the Moon in a fire sign, the Sun in an earth sign, and Saturn in an air sign, so I often find a lot of creative energy in processing my emotions, balance in my ego when I ground myself in practicality, and self-control when I liberate myself on an intellectual/spiritual level. Since tarot is such an introspective process, I imagine the creators are often expressing the elements through how they've learned to deal with those energies in their own lives and personalities.
    Also, I've heard of the four minor suits being expressed as the four Jungian psychological modes, Thinking, Feeling, Intuition, and Sensing, which is a perfect analogy since different permutations of those are expressed as the 16 Jungian personality types. That might actually not be just an analogy but actually the same exact thing, really.

    MODERN SPELLCASTER'S TAROT DECK. Truly this tarot card picture is very good. But unfortunately the paper materials are not so high quality, because it is too thin so that it easily causes scratches, folds, and even blisters easily. My Modern Spellcaster 1 card Ace of Swords is scratched and folded very easily, so it marks on the back of the card. It feels really hurt, because like my soul that was hurt.

    a random question but one I had to ask since I know you've read the book of seshet and I'm getting more and more interested in the Thoth system. Is the Book of Seshet similar to the Book of Thoth or does it vary from it and could it replace the Book of Thoth?

    • @sacredseed1295
      @sacredseed1295  Před 7 lety +1

      The Tiger's Abyss I certainly don't think it could replace the Book of Thoth, but the Book of Seshet definitely explains some of the basics in a way more accessible way I'd say. She even discusses some of Crowley's ideas in "layman's terms" lol. good luck & thanks for watching my friend. ps LOVING your channel!!! you're so wonderful to watch :) xo
