I just fished this beach 2 weeks ago, but on the south end! You did a lot better than I did though. Lots of baby jellyfish.

What rod and real and line did you use for the one you caught the shark on

PENN Fierce IV combo 6000 reel size 9’ rod. Size 8 circle hook, 50lbs braided line, 4’ steel leader.

I have always just used 20lb florocarbon with 3 loops. 2 for hooks and weight on the bottom for catching baitfish. Do you feel like haven’t the colored beads or floats (im not sure if the float) helps get more bites?

In my opinion, I believe that the beads and floats help with the attraction aspect, and I also believe that the floats helps keep the bait off the sand and prevents crabs from stealing the bait as often.
