wow that is some impressive shooting!!! That .338 is one serious puncher.
yeah it can poke body armor 1,000 yards out easily, nasty round
Finn's make the best ammunition 💪🏻
Ultimate plinker😭
Very nice video. I love that we can also see exactly what you see through the scope.
Thanks! I just put another one up.
Yes and it's nice and clear too.
Wow, first shot hit at 1000! Love 338LM, it is such a capable caliber to reach out far and accurate. Great rifle and optics to go along with the shooting skills!
Thank you sir!
Amazing shots sir, I hope to have that kind of land to stretch out on soon. Loved the scope cam and the fact that you detailed your whole process to prepare for that kind of shooting.
Thank you! Having enough land to do this is my dream also. Maybe one day. Thanks for watching sir.
Poor target at 1K yards was like "give me a break! Pick on the other ones!"
That’s extremely impressive for 1,000 yards. How well does it group at a base 100? What MOA are you getting out of it?
Thanks! I've gotten quarter inch groups with factory Prime Ammo (the stuff made by RUAG) and these loads in the video are consistently sub-half inch at 100 with occasional 3/8 inch groups.
@@chrishoesel that’s fantastic. I really want to get into long range shooting and the MRAD seems like the way to go.
@@ProGunsZach Man, you will not be disappointed if you get one. Mine is 8 years old with over 3k rounds through the barrel and it just hammers. Their barrels are made in-house, and are exceptional. It's also very smooth, with a buttery action. Barrel and bolt head changes can be done in a couple of minutes, but caliber conversions or extra barrels are expensive. Could go toe-to-toe with AI, but is super rugged as well. The newer ones are slightly lighter in weight, and look cooler, as well the MK22 being sold to civilians. Love this thing.
@@chrishoesel I think I peed a little bit reading that.
I'm gonna get an MRAD, along with 2 caliber swap kits. Going for 338 Lapua Mag, 300 Win Mag and 6.5 Creedmoor. Kind of a light, medium and heavy caliber. I heard you can zero 1 scope at 100 for 3 calibers and keep a cheat sheet of click adjustments for all 3. I thought about getting a 308 barrel instead of 6.5, but I'm still not 100% sure which I want.
the bolt sounds so good too
Normies have no f**king clue how difficult these shots are with elements involved. Well done.
Man, never thought I'd see something I play
really reminds me of those days in battlefield BC 2 where I Hide around the tree lines of the hill and shooting at snipers that on the other side of the map with a size smaller than a cursor. That feeling of waiting that bullet to reach its target or re adjusting when it misses can be really relaxing sometimes...
Used to love that game. Waiting patiently for BF2042. Thanks for watching.
reminds me of sniping with the m98b on Caspian Border and Operation Firestorm in BF3 and 4 omg that was so fun
I am thoroughly impressed, and watching you shoot is surprisingly relaxing. Subbed
Hits it like a ton of bricks can’t imagine the damage it’ll do to a person
Dying would occur.
It would do more damage than being stung by a bee.
@@samson_the_great you can get hit in the leg and survive
@@Superbatman93 highly unlikely, but yes.
It would go through a human like butter
I genuinely thank you for this video. Proper editing of visuals.
just come across this video and the grouping at that distance and accuracy is impressive!! great vid to watch also! subbed
Thanks for the sub! and the kind comment! More to come. Super busy at work but have footage.
Nice shooting at a nice range with an even nicer rifle. Nice all around.
Thanks for the efforts to capture the scope view, not many people have video footage like this on youtube
Glad you enjoyed it, and thanks for watching
So nice having the scope cam and target cam. Great shooting.
Thanks for taking the time to watch and the feedback.
I literally grunted at that second impact.
Fun to watch. Some very impressive shooting sir!
the sound of those bullets going into the mag is so satisfying
This was very satisfying to watch

Hahaha that's funny. I'm just an IT guy :-)
Great shooting and video Sir . I respect Your adage ( Practical accuracy ) .
Impressive! Every single one of those impacts was lethal with that round.
Thanks! Yes that is a big stupid magnum. I love it.
Fantastic video, very enjoyable
Holy cow man nice first shot accuracy!
sounds so cool
Nice shooting!!! That rifle makes it look easy when it's not that easy
Wow, very impressive at 1000 yards. He's shooting relatively fast for that range to, all impacts. Good job dialing it in 👍
Thanks! I must admit, conditions came together for me on that day, and I was properly focused, unlike my attempts with .308 at 1k. Thanks for watching.
@@shootloadrepeat Isn't .308 significantly harder to shoot as the Ballistics are inferior to the .338LM? Also Am looking to buy an MRAD in the near future. Already own the M82 which is more of a "fun gun" rather than a precision rifle come to find out. Anyways I have been contemplating which calibers to get. The .308 and .300WM are on my list, but trying to decide between .338LM or Norma Mag. The Norma Mag is what the Military adopted so I figured that was a better bet for availability and production. Thoughts?
@@kennedyabington9408 Yes.308 is more difficult at 1k because of propensity for the wind to carry it off target. It also has a much lower coefficient of drag and normally travels slower and hits the transonic range much sooner. If I were you, I’d go for the .300 or .338 Norma Mag. It’s a much more optimized cartridge than the old .338LM
@@shootloadrepeat Awesome. Really appreciate the response! My dad and I are taking a course at KM range in TN so will probably buy the MRAD before then.
The .338 has so much kinetic energy at that distance, pretty much the perfect anti personal precision round
That’s awesome 👊🏻
Crazy.. Great shooting!
i can watch these type of videos all day. gorgeous rifle. excellent shooting
Thanks for the visit and the compliment!
Great content mate thanks for the awesome video, some damn impressive shooting there!

this video is so satisfying to watch.

i really enjoyed watching those hits. Must've been really satisfying for the shooter, especially.
Oh indeed they were and glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching.

Thank you for the kind words! Day job keeps me really busy so haven’t been able to post much, but I do have some more footage once I’ve gone through it. Thanks for watching
That's incredible.
~1.something seconds between the pop and the plink sound. Very cool that you set up 2 cameras and sync up their time.

Masterclass
Great calculations with that scope.
Thanks!
Looks like a lot of fun. My range only goes to 300 but tight groups are always satisfying. Nice shooting, videos, editing!
Thanks for taking the time to watch and the feedback. I'll be doing more.
Shredded it. Nice job.
Thank you!
damn...that first shot was sick, but the second one was perfect!

My precious Lapua brass will never touch the ground LOL. Thanks for watching all the way from your beautiful country. Take care.
@@shootloadrepeat Hehe, you're welcome
First video I've seen of yours, and lemme tell ya, the shot you landed at 9:28 actually terrified me. 1000 yards, landing a shot perfectly center of the breastplate. Actually sent shivers down my spine. Terrifying precision! Bravo!
Thank you sir!
Godamn subscribed because of that group!
Thank you sir! My groups are not usually this good, I got lucky on this day.
Same
You are an excellent marksman dude, nice shos!
I really appreciate this. Thank you!
nice shots!
More to come!
I spoke to a Barrett guy many years ago asking about suppressed 50bmg in the beginning of the 50bmg craze. I saw an Iver Johnson 50bmg gun offered with a factory suppressor. The Barret guy called me everything but crazy at the time. I guess suppressed large caliber bolt guns are a real thing now. Needless to say, I never got a Barrett.
What did you end up getting?
They probably thought the suggestion was for the M82/A1 which will not function with a suppressor due to the short recoil action or maybe thought the recoil to the user might be too high on their bolt guns without their tank brake. Years later they were able to make it work on the M107 with a special braked suppressor. Trends have also changed in the last 5-10 years in favor of cans. They are more popular and less "exotic" now. Sucks they lost a customer due to that, but they make some high quality kit.
Very nice!
Thank you! Cheers!
Fine shooting just fine !!!
Thank you!
Their is just so much to be impressed by! Great shooting to be sure. Your selection of video components is especially impressive and the overall video is superb! Thanks so much for making the investment time and money to make the video.
You're welcome, my pleasure. Thank you for watching
There
Holy shit those were some tight 3 shots at 1000 less than 5 inches I’m impressed
Dude very very nice shots at 1000 yards!
Thanks!
Surprising what a little gust of wind can do to something with that much energy.
Indeed.
Nice shooting.
A french guy enjoyed your video 😉
Incredible to watch, you're a superb marksman. I'm watching from England so as you can imagine, we don't get to do this over here!
I'm "allowed" to target shoot with sub 12ft/lb air rifles, my garden range is 25 yards! It's great fun but this is the real deal. Thank you 😊
Wow thank you so much for the compliment. I appreciate it. Although this day conditions were nearly perfect, I haven’t been able to replicate this on this range over the summer. In a few weeks the temperatures will go down some and I’ll have better luck with the smaller calibers. Air rifles are probably more difficult and 25 meters is likely a similar challenge. thank you for watching. Come visit sometime, and you can look up any number of us willing to take you out and play with our toys. Cheers mate!
@@shootloadrepeat I have to respectfully disagree on the challenge of my range versus yours! What you do in this video is ridiculously brilliant, but thank you anyway.
Next time I come to the US I will be sure to let you know. I shot with some police in West Palm Beach, FL, many years ago. Went through a lot of weapons but nothing like this.
Thanks for the reply and all the best when the weather cools down mate! 😉👍
Just fyi, you can own this exact gun, and any other bolt action in any caliber ever made, in the UK. You need to be a member of a firearms club etc, but no problem. For semi auto rifles it's restricted to 22mag however.
@@n0p3e yes, you are correct, I didn't think to mention it. But with an FAC license these are all possible to own and like you say, semi-auto in .22 only.
The licensing conditions are very stringent, lots of hoops to jump thru and red tape. But totally gettable by most.
My point was that many aren't prepared to bother due to cost and drama so stick with air guns as they're cheap, fun and you can shoot them in your garden. I have a 12 and 25 yard range in my garden. Whereas in America for example, you can buy an M4 in Walmart or whatever!
Nice shooting
Fkn awesome. Very nice dude.
Glad you like it!
Real Nice
everybody I know telling me you need 20x+ scope to shoot well at 1000 and here you are drilling the target with 18x
You absolutely do NOT need high mag to shoot relatively long distance. I find that I want high mag if I'm shooting at 100 yards and only about 14-16x at 1000. Maybe it's different for F-class and bench rest nerds but if you have good glass you really don't feel yourself wanting high mag--at least in my experience.
Military has been using fixed 10x scope for decades until recently. Sometimes mirage is so bad that you need to reduce magnification. It helps to have higher magnification for target ID or seeing groups but it’s common to reduce magnification at longer ranges due to many factors. Thanks for watching.
Nice shooiting!
2nd 3rd 5th shots fantastic grouping
nice work!! :D
Thanks for the visit
Nice thats accurate!
Glad you think so!
NIce..Set up...
Thanks!
That's a nice camera setup to show the sights, and good shots too. Not a bad pronounciation of Lapua either.
Thank you, and thanks for watching. I'm getting hammered about the pronunciation of Lapua over here. LOL.
Wow. Cant imagine getting hit by that, its a terrifying weapon
Very impressive shooting. Wish I had a range that had extended distance.
Son of a ... damn good shooting!
Nice shooting ! profesional grade shooter and weapon.
Thank you!
damn thats impressive!
Thank you for the kind words.
this guys deadly!
I got lucky that day.

Sweet…
bonjour magnifique carabine de précision cette barrett mrad en 338 magnum merci de se partage vidéo cordialement
De rien et merci d'avoir regardé et commenté
Grouping at a grand. Goals.
thats the first ive ever heard it called "lapwa" over "la-poo-ah"
Being that it's a Finnish company I try to pronounce it like they do. Although I think the anglicized pronunciation sounds cooler. Thanks for watching.
