999 is pretty pure 9999 is basically medical grade and not worth much more unless it’s for medical use American eagles should only be a dollar over spot or at spot at the bank since is legal US tender
Please be aware of many fake eagles the Chinese have made perfect fakes cladded over copper only buy from top notch company’s and keep your receipts for resale I have gotten 5 fakes on eBay but tested everyone and always got refunded this is a huge problem and they need to make a chip installed inside or something then I could see a premium keeping your coin recorded they put chips in everything why not a coin

There are coins and bars available with better silver content. Higher quality production. And better availability. Nothing justified the premium charged on eagles.
