Riding a 2 year old…. Man this guy is a genius, I bet he can name every part of the horse that will be damaged from doing this.

It’s fine to ride a two year old, Tim knows what he is doing

Starting a 2 yr old is the least amount of stress for the horse. Physically fine too, ask an equine vet.

Don’t you think all the loping was a little harsh for a young one?

      That wasn't much loping.

Possibly but each one is different and when they are young you have to work on the pieces that individual needs. They all need the same things but sometimes the order is different. I have a video coming out soon where I talk about exactly that.

I don't know about how fast horses mature out what they can carry. I'm I soft thinking they should be three? Is that man to big for a young horse?

2 yo are too young to be ridden. It can lead to a lot of physical and psychological problems. For bigger horses they shouldn't be started until they are even 4 or 5

i think if your a little person you can start a 2 year old but he is way way big for her. i think if you ride her atleast 2 days to one and give a break, it will be fine but damn he is to big for her.

Actually, recent studies show that it can even be beneficial to start at 2-2.5 , stronger bones leading to long term soundness. Look at the recent studies VS. older.

It's easier on a horse to start them at 2, less stressful. Stress is harmful, not calm training & riding.

At 15 hands she is not a foal! Shame on you for not thinking beyond the age of Indy! This is a well-developed horse and her rider knows more about horses and cares even more about the horses so if it wasn’t appropriate, he would not be doing it!
