I feel like now that you have better headphones you should really re-react. This is a emotionally deep song and the visuals are way better than the average music video. Both together could make ya tear up. My mom amd I loved this song and she passed away over a year ago and i had no idea how immensely deep this song actually was. Now every time i hear it cry. Im glad that this was one of the songs she loved.

From what I can make out, the lyrics are about being in a relationship with one partner who suffers from depression, or who is traumatised. It's actually really sad, but offset by the chirpy and lively tune, which is an interesting and unusual thing about the song.
Of Monsters and Men used to be my fave band before PTX and I still love them :)
They're an Icelandic band and this song relates to the video more than you think :)
The song is about the woman who's scared of many things, however the man is telling her many things to show her that he'll always be there for her and eventually she trusts him and she find her way after hitting rock bottom :)
I think you check out Dirty Paws, my fave song from them, catchy tune and they're actually telling a story :)
+Heather Wiles Thank you very much for filling me in on the song- that makes more sense now, though they still don't mesh perfectly :) The band DOES sound good- I have no problems with them at all on any front and the song was very catchy- it just didn't reach into my heart. But 90% of the songs I listen to don't and that is absolutely OK- I don't have to fall in love with a band to enjoy their music :) I will check that song out, thank you very much for the suggestion, and I hope you have a very good day!

@@williamroeben The song from the writers perspective is actually about an old couple in which the husband has passed away. The old wife is dealing with his death roughly, trying to figure out whether the voice she's hearing is her going insane or the ghost of her passed husband.

Of Monsters and Men is an Icelandic band so that's why the video was so weird haha. I am Icelandic myself and I've never been into their music or any other famous Icelandic singers because they're all a bit too weird and a lot of people think all Icelanders are like that because of all the weird singers like Björk and Retro Stefson... But we're really not THAT weird. But I still liked your reaction:)
+TheHyperwork The video itself was actually kinda cool- I liked the story being told, I just wished I could have linked what was happening in the song to what was happening in the video. It seemed like there were 2 different things going on and they didn't have a lot to do with each other :) I don't think Icelanders are all weird- and to be honest, I do like Bjork but I only watch her videos and they seem pretty normal to me, for music videos :) Ah well, that's cool tho! Have you ever seen the video for Wagon Wheel by Old Crow Medicine Show?? It's a great song. Another song that this makes me think of is California Stars by Wilco. It makes me think a lot of Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros too. Their song "Home" is really good. Just a few suggestions of songs I think you'll like. A sadder song you might like is I Will Follow You Into The Dark by Death Cab For Cutie. Haha...I may just be going through my favorite Pandora station lol. Anyway, I think you'll like what I've suggested. A few of the songs will grab you and a few are just fun.
