  • Day 4 post op I am absolutely loving being home, however I definitely took for granted the sleeping arrangements in hospital- aka adjustable beds.
Not only that I am having lots of pain around the stoma- pulling, stinging and tightness due to the skin and stitches which is new.
    But.
On the positive- my old symptoms are disappearing by the day! No more bloating, distension and pain 😃
If I feel like this on day 4 I can’t wait to see what day 44 will be like.

I received my stoma 3 weeks ago tomorrow. Stool movements are fine but having significant pain internally. How long did it take for your pain to ease? Skin I fine. This is more of an internal pain. Thanks

Hello, how long did your pain stop? We are dealing with the same situation with our mom, it's only been 5 days after she was discharged after having a surgery. Her pain started 3d ago, no stoma irritation can be observed nor the skin outside. But she's in extreme pain a little bit after she eats, like cramping and all that.
