    The pass on Button was simply incredible. Not many drivers on the planet could do that.

      Also impressive seeing as 1. Singapore is a very difficult track to overtake and 2. Singapore is one of Raikkonen’s weaker tracks I’d say due to how narrow it is and how sharp the vast majority of the corners are. That overtake on Maldonado was incredibly close to a retirement too. Coming incredibly close to contact

      I see this ridiculous comment over and over again. LOTUS SENT LOTUS BROKE because they mis managed their finances and I think GENII capital did not actually put the money it was supposed to into the team. KIMI WAS PAID IN FULL IN 2014-5 because he was asked at Ferrari and he confirmed it!!.

    I recently watched the full 2013 season (Had previously seen only the “Story of the season of every race”, and I was amazed by Kimi. It was in my opinion the same Kimi we had seen in Mclaren 2004-2005. Unbelievable speed and race craft, best tyre management and overtaking on the grid in 2013. It was such a pleasure watching him on form like that. Shame that he had to miss the last two races because of his surgery because he would have definitely finished 3rd in the championship.

      Yes I agree and said the same when I watched the first race in Melbourne. The reason was mostly focused around those those ridiculously sensitive Pirelli tyres and you could see even as early as pre-season testing that Kimi had "worked them out" and got the jump on everyone in Melbourne. He has incredible feel for what the car is doing (more so than anyone I've ever seen) and that Lotus was well set up around him then, especially the first 3 months with the short wheelbase chassis. A little less so when Lotus experimented with the LWB and the aero concepts such as the ram air gills on the intake.Kimi urged the team to give him back the SWB chassis which they eventually did in Germany or Hungary and he was lightening quick again.

    • @dreadalex
      @dreadalex Před rokem +2

      True, but then came Silverstone and nearly every car popped it's tyres. And Pirelli changed the tires to the 2012 spec which favoured Red Bull. With Kimi you have to appreciate all the small moments he does things better than anyone else.
