Good video. On pronunciation - I did HP Neophyte training some 42 years ago. When we got to Santa Rosa (Network and Spectrum Analyser divisions) when referring to characteristic impedance Z0, the students (from all over the world) had no idea what Zeee sub Ohhh meant. We sat there stupified until we had the instructor write it on a board - he meant what we knew to be Zed-nought. Good times.
That's because the students from all over the world speak English and you were in America where they only speak American - common problem.

I have a question, and I'm hoping someone can assist me with it. I need to conduct frequency response analysis on the stator winding of a three-phase induction motor. The challenge is that we don't have a frequency response analyzer (kit) available. As an alternative, I plan to use the DSOX1202G Oscilloscope. Could anyone provide guidance on how I can effectively use the oscilloscope for this purpose?

Just ordered my DSOX1202-200G. I suppose the plot is much faster for a smaller range. (I hope) One royal bitch I have found with Keysight is trying to order a hardcopy user manual for the scope! So far I only get links to the download copy. Back when HP ran the show it was not a problem at all.
Buy a printer and some paper.
@@longdongsilver4719 I did end up printing it off. Took 2 hours of fiddling with printing, loading more paper, punching holes, etc. I have official HP manuals for all my other instruments.
Good job though I bought a Rigol DHO924s which has almost everything hackable inside.
Could you also show a way in between, i.e. sweeping and using the trigger from the signal generator to plot kind of like a poor man's Bode plot? One could probably add a peak detector to plot a single line instead of a continuous signal. Not quite as fancy but much better than plotting by hand.
I used your measurment mehod to show the bode plot on oscilloscope screen several years ago.
Should be included in next firmware update in DSO-X 2000 series !!!

from ur specs cannot tell what improvement in amplitude accuracy on the sig gen of edu 1000g vs a separate edu external sig gen... si,,, amplitud accuracy,,, noise etc any major improvents or no... trying to design mm and mc phono cartridge amps ... and condenser mic pre amps....
the plot measures the gain. I don't think the amplitude accuracy would be that critical since the scope MEASURES the input to the filter and MEASURES the output of the filter.

It's standard on the cheapest scope and an option on the more expensive scopes! That just about sums up the Scope market today. Enable a software feature and pay an extra $10k!! Madness.

As a dutch man; "bode" is pronounced boduh not bodah, your American accent is getting the better of you there 🙂
I wonder what Dr. Bode himself thought about his collegues calling him 'Bodi'. I suspect it didn't matter much to him. Dutch people understand that some pronunciations are hard for anglophones. Words like 'huis' en 'gezellig' are especially hard to say.
