  • Progress of the sperm whale weathervane continues in the dramatic fashion that is "lead soldering".
Hang on for the ride of your lives as Dan attempts to solder a sheet copper weather vane in its two (early-American crude) halves into one 30Inch glorious sperm whale, the likes of which hasn't been seen since the days of Herman Melville.
Using the skills he has gained through combat and vocation he manages to continue on in his quest to form a shape from found alloys, all the while evading near death experiences and surviving the polar arctic conditions within the steel icebox that he so quaintly calls "the shop".
With the determination, that only a meth-deprived Frodo with a ring could obtain, he pursues his goal of creating, from scratch, a glimmering copper Cachalot displayed proudly upon a 4/12 pitched Bungalow.

The copper rose my son and I did is the most valuable thing in the house to me. A copper weather vane looks like a great idea for our next project. Thanks for this one :)

Put the pole through right where the blow hole will be. Then add wire in an arch type fashion to simulate spray/water coming out of the whale 🐋 🙃
